Senior Program Manager

IDEX Corporation

• Leads large scale, cross functional projects/programs working closely with key stakeholders, customers, engineers, product management and operations to drive critical programs and activities • Independently manage high profile, complex projects, and direct project-related customer communications • Coordinate activities between sub-projects occurring at multiple sites • Occasionally take on management of internal teams to meet organizational needs • Collaborates with other value streams to maintain, improve and implement procedures • Learn, train and educate all functional groups on Product Development Process, PDP • Play a significant role in the creation of project/program proposals in collaboration with the Product Manager(s) • Create a culture of continuous improvement by establishing strong partnerships and collaborating cross-functionally (sales, product management, operations) • Manage special projects and other duties as needed

Job Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in business, engineering or science field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of related professional experience
  • Excellent knowledge of project management disciplines and project team dynamics
  • Demonstrated successful management of complex projects
  • Knowledge of organizational change management methodologies and principles
  • Strong knowledge of business areas' products, strategies and goals
  • PMI / IPMA / IPMA B registered training
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project leadership, including management of complex projects for a minimum of 3 years
  • Excellent proven analytical, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to effectively negotiate and facilitate complex problem resolution
  • Ability to influence others to desired outcomes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively cross functionally
  • Experience with optical and electro-mechanical products preferred
  • Knowledge of several product development and project management paradigms
  • Understanding of tools for continuous improvement and/or program management
