Accountant

Remote Raven

• Balance and maintain accurate ledgers • Match purchase orders with invoices • Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis to management • Work with Project Coordinator to prepare lender draw requests and other bookkeeping and accounting functions • Prepare project spending reports • Gather and review pay applications for vendors • Monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts • Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances • Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets • Manage payroll, operating and business tax • Assist Project Coordinator and Project Superintendent with packaging and sending project RFP’s

Job Requirements

  • Years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, working in accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and payroll
  • Proficiency in Quickbooks or Xero accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
  • Experience in services related to payroll such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes
  • Strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations

Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. - 2+ years of accounting experience. - Working knowledge of GAAP. - Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems preferred. - Experience with Concur or expense management systems preferred. - Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations and data analysis. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
