Staff Accountant
Agent
• Manage 4–5 client accounts independently with minimal supervision • Perform core bookkeeping tasks, including: - Bank and account reconciliations - Journal entries and financial record maintenance - Prepare and support financial reports and filings (sales tax experience is a plus) • Communicate directly with clients, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner • Assist with client onboarding and ongoing account maintenance • Work within systems such as Shopify and internal tools • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data across accounts • Support process improvements and documentation when needed • Collaborate with senior team members on projects and workflow execution
Job Requirements
- 2 + years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial processes
- Experience managing multiple clients or accounts simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (client-facing role)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience with e-commerce accounting (Shopify is a plus)
- Familiarity with sales tax processes or exposure to tools like Avalara
- Experience working with the U.S.-based clients
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
