  • Financial Management and Reporting:
  • Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for clients to improve their financial position.
  • Manage and execute account reconciliations, ensuring all financial records are precise and up-to-date, with discrepancies resolved promptly.
  • Monitor and analyze expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines and providing recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  • Support the development of financial reports that aid in strategic decision-making.
  • Audit Support:
  • Assist in the preparation for external audits by providing auditors with necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Work with clients and auditors to address audit findings and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Tax Planning and Compliance:
  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws to provide accurate and up-to-date advice.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and providing timely, accurate accounting services as well as identifying areas of improvement and valuable insights for clients.
  • Ensure accurate and organized documentation of financial transactions and client interactions.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and ensure that all interactions reflect the firm’s commitment to excellent client service.
  • Collaboration, Supervision and Training:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as business development, to provide comprehensive services and support client acquisition efforts.
  • Provide guidance to junior accountants, reviewing their work for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that supports professional growth.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and other relevant regulations.
  • Implement updates to maintain the highest standards of compliance and integrity.
  • Industry, Software and Technology Proficiency:
  • Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks Online (QBO), Slack, Google G Suite, Monday.com, Tax Dome, ProConnect, and Zoom, to streamline financial processes.
  • Use technology tools effectively to manage client accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and development to stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and changes in accounting standards.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the accounting or tax industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online.
  • Public Accounting experience is preferred.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Tax experience is preferred but not required
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing client relationships effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
