Electrical Controls Engineer
KION Group
• Develops the design of very complex systems that integrate hardware and software. • Develops very complex material specification, schematic preparation, and appropriate follow-up. • Develops recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction. • Guides very complex technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design. • Performs advanced areas of work for the professional field. • Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently, including developing new solutions to existing opportunities. • Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems. • Leads the largest complex projects, delegating most tasks to lower-level engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering or advanced degree.
- 5 – 8 years of successful experience in related field for electrical controls engineers
- 8-10+ years of successful experience in related field for senior level electrical controls engineer roles.
- Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments.
- Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Proficient in either Rockwell or Siemens PLCs.
- Knowledgeable on AC drives, both open & closed loop.
- Experience in Ethernet IP network design and machine safety a plus.
