Centralized Insurance Counselor II, ROPS

DaVita Kidney Care

• Provides education and guidance to DaVita patients about health insurance and the implications of different insurance options • Helps patients understand their insurance options and make informed employment and insurance decisions • Alleviates stress that dialysis patients experience in navigating complicated insurance options and employment decisions • Conducts 100% telephonic patient insurance education while operating within established compliance parameters of the company • Identifies and effectively communicates opportunities to better the insurance status of the patient to help reduce or alleviate financial risk and burden • Provides information to patients to help them find and/or secure options for insurance coverage and other financial assistance programs • Completes insurance assessments/evaluations for patients to accurately document patient education sessions • Acts as a liaison between patients, facility teammates, billing office, and the corporate office to resolve patient insurance issues and/or concerns • Builds and maintains relationships with field partners to ensure seamless patient support • Provides monthly reporting and analysis on key metrics related to patient education and advocacy

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with Medicare and Medicaid insurance, as well as commercial insurance plans and benefits (PPO, HMO, POS, EPO, Indemnity), strongly preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare organization working with clinical staff and patients preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • PowerPoint preferred
  • Bilingual/Spanish Speaking required

Role Description Liberty Mutual’s North America Legal Team seeks a highly motivated, intellectually curious, and collaborative attorney to support its North America business unit, with specific responsibility for providing legal support to Liberty’s Casualty line of business and Programs portfolio across North America. The role spans both admitted and non-admitted (E&S) products and markets. The successful candidate will partner closely with leaders and teams in Casualty, Programs, Product Development, and Product Management to enable profitable growth while mitigating legal risk. Day-to-day activities will include: - Providing advice on time-sensitive transactions. - Analyzing and advising on issues related to regulatory compliance across admitted and E&S platforms. - Supporting Product Development and Product Management on new product development and product maintenance initiatives. - Counseling clients on product distribution arrangements (including programs). - Coordinating across legal teams to solve complex problems. Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary legal advisor to Liberty’s North America Casualty line of business and Programs portfolio—spanning admitted and non-admitted (E&S) products and markets. - Advise on domestic insurance regulatory issues impacting casualty products and programs across admitted and E&S markets. - Structure, draft, and negotiate program-related agreements and distribution arrangements (e.g., MGA, program administrator, TPA, and producer agreements). - Support product filings and related regulatory strategy for admitted products. - Counsel on pre-dispute matters that may impact casualty portfolios. - Monitor and advise on trends affecting casualty lines and programs. - Build and maintain a strong understanding of business clients’ objectives, strategic priorities, and the markets in which they operate. - Collaborate effectively across GRS Legal practice groups and with stakeholders in various departments. - Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. - Prepare and deliver training for internal clients on relevant legal and regulatory topics. - Stay abreast of changes to insurance regulations, pertinent case law, and emerging industry trends. - Work collaboratively with and take direction from senior members of the team. Qualifications - JD from an accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar. - Typically 5+ years’ insurance‑industry legal experience. - Demonstrated expertise in domestic insurance regulation (P&C). - Experience structuring and negotiating delegated authority/MGA/program agreements preferred. - Proven experience partnering with Product and Underwriting on new product development and regulatory strategy. - Strong drafting, negotiation and client‑facing skills. - Business orientation, sound judgment, responsiveness, and collaborative approach. Role Description We are looking for a Behavioral Health Care Manager Lead to join our Collaborative Care team. This role would be responsible for providing clinical leadership, supervision, and operational oversight for a team of Behavioral Health Care Managers, while balancing direct patient care, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration. Facilitate patient engagement and follow-up care. - Provide patient education about common mental health and substance abuse disorders and the available treatment options. - Deliver brief behavioral interventions using evidence-based techniques such as behavioral activation, problem-solving treatment, motivational interviewing, or other treatments as appropriate. - Track treatment response and monitor patients (in person or by telephone) for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications. - Support psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers, focusing on treatment adherence monitoring, side effects, and effectiveness of treatment. - Documentation & Outcomes Tracking - Track patient follow up and clinical outcomes. - Document patient progress and treatment recommendations in EHR and other required systems so as to be shared with medical providers, Psychiatric Consultant, and other treating providers. - Treatment Adjustment & Transitions of Care - Adjust treatment plans for patients who are not improving as expected in consultation with the medical provider and Psychiatric Consultant, including referral to more intensive or specialized care when needed. - Facilitate referrals to evidence-based psychosocial treatments and other clinically indicated services outside the organization. - Develop and complete relapse prevention self-management plan with patients who have achieved their treatment goals and are soon to be discharged from the caseload. Qualifications - Masters degree in social work or other behavioral health related degree. - Specialized training to provide brief psychosocial interventions, motivational interviewing, and problem-solving treatment required. - Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in behavioral health, integrated care, or care management. - At least 1-2 years of clinical supervision or team leadership experience. - Must hold an unrestricted clinical license (LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychologist, etc) in one or more of these states: Connecticut, Illinois, New Jersey, New York. - Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team setting. - Working knowledge of evidence-based psychosocial treatments and brief behavioral interventions for common mental health disorders, when appropriate (e.g., motivational interviewing, problem-solving treatment, behavioral activation). - Experience running a clinical team. - Experience scaling CoCM programs across multiple practices preferred. - Experience in virtual delivery care models.
