• As a Licensed Insurance Representative, your main responsibility is to find innovative ways to respond to varying questions, issues, and concerns. • Handle and carefully respond to all inbound and outbound customer inquiries • Provide excellent customer service through active listening • Work with confidential customer information and treat it sensitively • Aim to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive, patient, empathetic, and understanding • Appropriately communicate with customers, exercising retention efforts if needed • Identify customers who are comparison-shopping and inquiring about contract terms, assisting the customer with the correct price plan • Compassionately handle sensitive situations surrounding healthcare needs, education, and prevention planning
Job Requirements
- Must hold resident Property & Casualty license
- License must be within good standings and no renewal/CE's within next 90 days
- Cannot have any inactive/expired non-resident lines due for renewal
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to type at least 25 words per minute.
- Comfortable with desktop computer systems and have general knowledge of Windows-based systems.
- Customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
- College degree preferred but not required.

Role Description As an Examiner-in-Charge (EIC) for the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation, Captive Insurance Division, your primary responsibilities include: - Examinations and ongoing oversight of Vermont domiciled captive insurance companies. - Leading a team of examiners in evaluating areas of captive insurance company operations and business practices, including: - Corporate governance - Strategy - Business plan - IT systems - Internal controls - Financial reporting - Regulatory compliance - Conducting research and assigned special projects. - Conducting annual and quarterly surveillance for a portfolio of companies.
