Job Description

Insurance Sales and Service Representative I – Bilingual

GM Financial

• Provide insurance quotes and utilize selling techniques to close sales • Provide a high level of support and consultation as it relates to quoting, selling and servicing insurance policies • Resolve customer complaints and seek management assistance for complaint resolution • Monitor and maintain a closed loop feedback process to ensure customer requests and expectations are exceeded • Establish open communication and build professional relationships with other departments • Execute specialty team processes and strategies as assigned by OnStar Insurance leadership

Job Requirements

  • Must hold current Property and Casualty (P&C) or Personal Lines License in at least (1) U.S. State or be able to obtain within 30 days of start date required.
  • Possibility of working long hours may be required to support business needs
  • Limited travel may be required to support business needs
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays and potential shift changes
  • Occasional overtime or split shifts may be required
  • 0-2 years of customer service experience Preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred

Role Description As an Examiner-in-Charge (EIC) for the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation, Captive Insurance Division, your primary responsibilities include: - Examinations and ongoing oversight of Vermont domiciled captive insurance companies. - Leading a team of examiners in evaluating areas of captive insurance company operations and business practices, including: - Corporate governance - Strategy - Business plan - IT systems - Internal controls - Financial reporting - Regulatory compliance - Conducting research and assigned special projects. - Conducting annual and quarterly surveillance for a portfolio of companies.
