Journeyman Geospatial Analyst

The Software, Simulation, and Systems Engineering (S3E) Portfolio is seeking a Journeyman Geospatial Analyst (JGA) to support contracts centered on GEOINT data production for the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency. The S3E Portfolio provides geospatial intelligence support across a broad number of offices and agencies in the form of geospatial products, analysis, engineering and services. The opportunity is for a candidate with great technical experience and existing skillsets to support the creation of geospatial products that inform decision makers for analysis, planning, execution of and in theater operations for the Warfighter to ensure mission success. This position can be supported remotely, but with preference to be in Northern Virginia or St. Louis, MO area. Primary Responsibilities - Support in analysis of satellite imagery to perform feature data collection and quality control of geospatial feature data production products - Perform Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) operations to include mapping table generation - Interact daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups - Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Access - Must have technical and leadership abilities and be able to demonstrate such skills Basic Qualifications - High School diploma and 1-3 years of prior experience in related field. - US Citizen required . - Must have ArcGIS experience, preferably with ArcGIS Pro, and an understanding of feature data and cartographic products, photo interpretation, and vector data editing. 3 – 6 years experience. - Experience performing feature extraction and photo interpretation, with knowledge in one or more of the following feature data schemas: TDS, GGDM, UFD, GIFD, DFEG, TFEG, MGCP TRD, MUVD, FACC. - Working knowledge of AAFIF/DVOF/Geonames and quality control of them over imagery. - Proficiency with GAIT and/or QAC. - Ability to train staff in GIS fundamentals. - Adapt quickly to new tools and provide ideas for new data processing tools. Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Geography with 2+ years of experi. - Experience in the review and development of multiple data schemas and formats. - Python, C# or Java. - Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or SpatiaLite.
