• Working collaboratively with the Hiring Managers and Director of Talent Acquisition to understand business objectives and candidate requirements for open positions • Proactively sourcing firm operations professionals for strategic hires and just-in-time hiring to meet the needs of our growing practice • Recruiting, interviewing and retaining a qualified pool of candidates • Building and maintaining relationships with your clients, candidates and team, while demonstrating strong networking, sourcing and recruiting skills • Strategizing and creating best practices to increase employee referrals and attract passive candidates • Designing job descriptions and sourcing strategies that reflect each position’s requirements • Managing the full-cycle recruitment process for candidates • Sourcing through a variety of channels including the use of social media platforms, events and vendor relationships • Taking steps to ensure positive candidate experience • Managing and enforcing standardized recruitment processes including identification of best practices to be leveraged across the Firm • Conducting market research, develop competitive intelligence on industry trends and developments • Communicating and educating business leaders on policies and processes, including behavioral interviewing, selection and offer negotiation
• Prepare federal and state tax returns, estimates, extensions and international forms for corporations and partnerships. • Support monthly and annual close processes related to tax accruals/provisions, reserves and reconciliations. • Prepare tax-related journal entries and maintain supporting workpapers and documentation. • Monitor state nexus, apportionment and compliance requirements. • Manage annual information reporting requirements, including Forms 1099 and other applicable tax reporting. • Oversee compliance with business tax filings, including franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, and other state and local business-related tax filings. • Assist in preparation of tax projections and required estimated tax payments. • Preparation and review of tax correspondence in response to tax audits or tax notices. • Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly sales, excise, B&O and other state and local filings. • Assist payroll team with research and response to payroll tax notices. • Preparation and filing of annual Personal Property Returns for various jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of client and vendor agreements, including engagement letters, master services agreements, confidentiality agreements, SaaS and technology agreements, data protection addenda, and related statements of work. • Analyze contractual risk and provide clear, commercially pragmatic guidance to partners and firm leadership. • Serve as an escalation point for complex or non-standard contractual terms. • Review high-risk engagement opportunities to identify risk exposure and recommend mitigation strategies. • Develop, refine, and maintain contract templates, fallback language, and negotiation playbooks to drive consistency and efficiency. • Support the application of privacy and compliance requirements within commercial agreements and internal processes. • Collaborate with IT, information security, and risk management teams to ensure contractual and operational compliance. • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal compliance policies and best practices. • Partner with the General Counsel to design and implement scalable legal processes and systems. • Evaluate, implement, and optimize contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and AI-assisted contract review platforms. • Leverage technology and automation to improve turnaround times, reduce risk, and enhance internal client experience. • Establish metrics and best practices to support an efficient, data-informed legal function. • Build strong working relationships with partners and firm leadership across service lines. • Provide solutions-oriented advice aligned with Withum’s risk profile and growth objectives. • Contribute to the long-term development and expansion of the legal department, including future team-building initiatives. • Support special projects and firm-wide initiatives as needed.
• Prospecting for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising, or other means of generating interest from potential clients. This will be the primary role of the Business Development Executive • Planning persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with our Firm • Developing a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship • Growing and retaining existing clients by presenting new solutions and services. • Responsible for developing a pipeline of new business coming into the Firm • Attending industry functions, including association events, conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends • Using of the market and competitors, identifying, and developing the Firm’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
• Supervising and reviewing sales and use tax compliance work • Overseeing nexus analyses, taxability determinations, and registration requirements • Reviewing exemption certificate processes, resale documentation • Managing and prioritizing team workflows • Serving as a technical resource for staff • Reviewing workpapers, reconciliations, and filings for accuracy • Handling client communications related to compliance questions • Assisting with audit support • Drafting or reviewing penalty abatement requests • Supporting technology implementations • Monitoring changes in sales and use tax laws • Supporting onboarding and training of new team members • Coordinating with managers and partners
• Reviewing and preparing individual, entity and trust and estate tax returns in accordance with Withum’s policies and ensure information is accurately represented • Adhering to the firm’s written tax practice standards and procedures • Ensuring client confidentiality by following all company procedures regarding information handling • Managing multiple engagements concurrently to efficiently meet client deadlines • Answering client questions and provide advice • Identifying and researching tax issues
