Job Description

Manager, Internal Tax

Withum

• Prepare federal and state tax returns, estimates, extensions and international forms for corporations and partnerships. • Support monthly and annual close processes related to tax accruals/provisions, reserves and reconciliations. • Prepare tax-related journal entries and maintain supporting workpapers and documentation. • Monitor state nexus, apportionment and compliance requirements. • Manage annual information reporting requirements, including Forms 1099 and other applicable tax reporting. • Oversee compliance with business tax filings, including franchise taxes, gross receipts taxes, and other state and local business-related tax filings. • Assist in preparation of tax projections and required estimated tax payments. • Preparation and review of tax correspondence in response to tax audits or tax notices. • Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly sales, excise, B&O and other state and local filings. • Assist payroll team with research and response to payroll tax notices. • Preparation and filing of annual Personal Property Returns for various jurisdictions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • CPA or Masters Degree in Taxation preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience
  • Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state income taxation
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft office Suites
  • Knowledge of Thomson Reuters Gosystem Tax or other tax software
