Essential Duties - Integration Architecture & Platform Engineering - Design, build, maintain, and monitor integrations across the educational technology ecosystem to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable data exchange. - Serve as the primary technical resource for integration strategy, API design, authentication methods, interoperability standards, and data exchange processes. - Evaluate new technology platforms and integration opportunities by assessing technical feasibility, sustainability, support requirements, and operational impact. - Develop and maintain integration documentation, including workflows, data mappings, authentication methods, error handling procedures, and support processes. - Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, synchronization issues, and cross-platform data discrepancies through root-cause analysis and long-term solutions. - Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to implement, enhance, and support interoperability across the learning technology ecosystem. - Data Automation & Operational Solutions - Design, build, and maintain automated workflows that move, validate, transform, and synchronize data across systems to improve operational efficiency and data quality. - Develop scripts, automation tools, and custom solutions using Python, SQL, Google Apps Script, or similar technologies to reduce manual processes and support organizational needs. - Create scalable data solutions that leverage APIs, source systems, and data warehouse outputs to support reporting, integrations, operational workflows, and business decision-making. - Develop lightweight internal tools and applications that improve staff access to information and streamline day-to-day operations. - Automate reporting, monitoring, reconciliation, notifications, and data validation processes to improve accuracy and operational visibility. - Maintain custom-developed solutions through documentation, testing, version control, and knowledge-sharing practices that ensure long-term sustainability. - Learning Management System Administration - Serve as the subject matter expert for all Learning Management System (LMS) environments, overseeing platform configuration, optimization, governance, and ongoing administration. - Manage user permissions, organizational structures, account provisioning, and access controls to support secure and effective LMS operations. - Monitor LMS performance, platform health, vendor communications, and system issues to ensure reliable service and timely resolution of escalated concerns. - Ensure the accuracy of LMS data, including enrollments, course assignments, grade passback processes, and instructional workflows in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders. - Collaborate with academic and operational teams to align LMS configurations with instructional requirements, reporting needs, and organizational goals. - Provide Tier 2 support for complex LMS-related issues and ensure platform data structures support analytics, compliance, and downstream reporting needs. Qualifications - A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in systems administration, integration engineering, automation development, educational technology, or a related technical field, preferably in a remote environment. - Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital task list and maintain a stable remote (home-office) infrastructure. - Minimum of 1–2 years of experience using the Google Workspace suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) in a professional or academic setting. - Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas via written channels (Email, Google Chat, and Document Comments) with high clarity and low ambiguity. - Access to a private, secure, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds. - Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting API-based integrations across multiple software platforms. - Strong proficiency with REST APIs, authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, API Keys, JWT), and integration troubleshooting. - Experience developing automation solutions using Python, SQL, Google Apps Script, or similar technologies. - Experience working with relational databases, data transformation processes, and operational data workflows. - Experience administering or supporting Learning Management Systems (LMS) at the platform-administrator level and managing system configurations, permissions, and user access. - Experience working within a virtual, blended, or online K–12 educational environment preferred. - Experience supporting Student Information Systems (SIS), CRM platforms, or large-scale educational technology ecosystems preferred. - Familiarity with interoperability standards such as OneRoster, LTI, SAML, SCIM, or similar identity and rostering frameworks preferred. - Experience developing lightweight internal applications, browser extensions, Google Workspace add-ons, or staff-facing operational tools preferred. - Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as BigQuery, dbt, or comparable reporting and analytics environments preferred.
