Architectural Specification Writer

• Develop and execute a strategic account plan to drive growth within the architectural segment in partnership and under the direction of the Area Sales Manager • Identify key opportunities to maximize specification growth and optimize accounts for long-term success • Actively prospect and engage architects, consultants, and specifiers to ensure Benjamin Moore is specified in upcoming projects • Qualify and manage leads to secure specifications, particularly for commercial projects • Serve as the technical expert on Benjamin Moore's product portfolio, staying informed on technological advancements, sustainability practices, and regulatory guidelines • Conduct presentations, continued education courses, and meetings to educate architects and specifiers on the benefits of specifying Benjamin Moore products • Provide white-glove service in writing, reviewing, and ensuring the accuracy of paint specifications • Assist decision-makers in selecting the most efficient and effective products for each project • Use the Benjamin Moore Spec Writer tool to create specifications and educate clients on its self-service capabilities • Collaborate with architects, consultants, and project managers to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in technical documentation and aligned with the project goals • Support retailer’s efforts in updating specifications through painters or contractors • Provide expert guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, acting as an extension of clients' teams • Track project opportunities and specifications, ensuring effective follow-up with clients and alignment between the Territory Representative and painters • Partner with Territory Representatives during the construction phase to ensure accurate specifications, evaluate submittals, and address RFIs • Conduct job site visits with Territory Representatives to assess project needs and ensure the proper implementation of specifications • Analyze market reports and stay informed about industry trends, competitive analysis, and market developments to capitalize on new opportunities • Leverage marketing tools and resources in collaboration with the A&D Marketing Manager to create custom materials as needed • Optimize time in both desk and field activities, prioritizing specification writing and client engagement to increase market share • Maintain direct feedback on relevant and/or critical matters with the A&D HQ team • Submit accurate reports and documentation into CRM on a weekly basis
Sales Associate

• Focus on learning and engaging with Benjamin Moore’s Field Sales team and clients for the first 10-12 weeks (about 3 months). • Learning all aspects of the paint and coatings industry by working alongside professionals in R&D, Marketing, Sales Operations, Manufacturing & Distribution, Color and Design, and interdependent retailer locations • Attending internal and external product and sales training. • Participating in market-wide selling events and professional networking events • Applying paints and coatings to various substrates and learning how to diagnose and troubleshoot product performance issues • Building relationships by offering excellent customer service and demonstrating customer-centricity. • Support Territory Representatives in meeting their sales goals by calling on lower-volume customers to sell in products and programs • Continue learning and growing in the values of Benjamin Moore, including assisting in architectural and industrial product training, sales blitzes, promotional campaigns, and other duties as assigned.
Product Training Specialist

• Collaborate with the sales team and BMUK leaders to plan, build, & implement customized training programs for target stockist and end-user customers • Conducts “Train the Trainer” sessions for sales reps so they can deliver and reinforce product training for stockists and end-users • Maintain regular communication with sales leadership to ensure alignment on training plan(s) and execution. • Provides product support for sales and marketing events, or tradeshows. • Acts as a liaison between the product marketing team and R&D to test new products. • Training facilitation through a positive learning environment and group activities • Facilitate learning and development programs for Benjamin Moore sales representatives, stockists and end-users in subjects including, product knowledge, product application, and complaint handling best practices • Monitor outcomes and effectiveness of training business plans and contributing activities • Assist the sales team with complaint resolution by lending technical support • Work collaboratively with the US-based transformation & development team to leverage existing content and training tools • Builds and/or tailors existing US or Canadian training programs to meet UK customer needs. • Collaborate as part of cross-functional teams to explore change management initiatives and growth programs for new product launches • Utilize available systems & technology to facilitate improved reporting and communication with internal customers
