Role Description As a Ping Identity Site Reliability Engineer, you will be involved in every facet of our Cloud-based services. You will establish solutions for building, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure of one of the largest identity platforms in the world. We follow a DevOps model: Development and Operations teams are integrated, running continuous deployments daily, and the teams collaborate in the solution's development, deployment, and operations. - Work collaboratively and independently to design and deliver solutions as well as review and provide feedback for those delivered by other engineers for our software and services on our cloud hosted production infrastructure. - Shape how our mission-critical enterprise software solutions are developed and deployed using optimized and automated CI/CD pipelines that ensure high quality products. - Help design, build and support infrastructure and security technologies within the cloud that offer resiliency, observability and optimized cost. - Communicate proactively and effectively to different kinds of audiences within the company. Share your own experience, knowledge and expertise with others to help them grow and develop. - Participate in planning work and identify areas of improvement. - Perform technology evaluation and selection. - Participate in an on-call rotation for maintenance of the cloud solutions. Qualifications - Experience in scalable, distributed systems architecture. - Experience with Cloud Platforms. - Experience of programming using Go. - Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker. - Experience with orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes. - Experience defining and implementing automated service deployments, including provisions for networking, security, reliability, management, reporting, and configuration management. - In-depth understanding of best practices for deployment automation. - Experience using Git in a team environment (pull requests, branching, push, and pulls). - CS Degree or equivalent experience. Requirements - You will have an advantage if you have an in-depth understanding of networking, including routing, naming, security, network performance, and network failure modes. - You have an in-depth understanding of identity and access management. - You have experience with instrumentation and management of automated deployments. - You have experience resolving customer deployment issues. - You have worked with distributed teams. - You understand CI/CD processes, and have some experience building CI/CD pipelines. • Lead a Dedicated Tenant Site Reliability Engineering organization spanning multiple teams and layers of leadership, with accountability for service delivery, operational excellence, and execution across complex initiatives. • Define and drive complex cross-functional programs with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating work across engineering and adjacent organizations to deliver business and customer outcomes. • Build, structure, and grow the organization to meet company objectives, including staffing plans, onboarding approaches, talent development, leadership coaching, and culture creation across multiple teams and organizational levels. • Set direction for how Dedicated Tenant services are delivered and operated, improving consistency, speed of decision making, and alignment across services and teams. • Establish and use organizational metrics to understand performance, identify trends, make trade-offs, and continuously improve reliability, productivity, and delivery outcomes. • Oversee the operational capabilities required to run large-scale production services, including infrastructure automation, observability, capacity planning, incident management, and analysis of complex system behavior and performance issues. • Partner closely with SRE, Security, Development, and other company functions to proactively manage dependencies, communicate release and operational activities, and improve the effectiveness of how services are delivered. • Drive the evolution of software delivery and operational strategies for your area, ensuring teams execute with strong release, deployment, and operations discipline that aligns with business objectives and organizational structure.
• Maintain and own the multi-quarter product roadmap, backlog, and quarterly feature delivery, and influence and implement the Access management product strategy for Ping Advanced Identity Cloud (dedicated-tenant SaaS) and Ping Access management (on-premises software) • Leverage AI tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness across product management workflows, including research, analysis, documentation, prioritization, and cross-functional communication. • Gather market, customer, prospect, and partner input to understand customer scenarios and technical requirements, uncover pain points and unmet needs, and act as technical expert on customer use cases. • Provide detailed input into the product planning process and priority of features for communication to engineering. • Develop technical requirements and collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to build, launch, and refine high-quality and polished features that meet customer and market needs. • Perform market analysis, identifying industry trends, strategic needs, and competitive pressures to inform product direction. • Become a subject matter expert on Access Management and the PingAM product, helping to grow the product.
• Serve as a primary analyst and subject matter expert for HR systems, with a strong focus on UKG as the primary HRIS and Greenhouse as the applicant tracking system • Own day-to-day HR systems administration, including employee changes, data maintenance, workflow support, troubleshooting, configuration updates, system permissions, routine maintenance, and testing within established governance • Support reporting, data integrity, and audit activities by building and validating recurring and ad hoc reports, maintaining deep UKG BI reporting knowledge, and conducting audits and reconciliations across HR systems and connected processes • Support file feeds, integrations, bulk uploads, and recurring system activities tied to annual compensation cycles and other people programs • Help administer and improve FreshService as the HR Operations ticketing system, while providing timely and thoughtful support to employees and internal stakeholders on system troubleshooting and process questions • Support administration and reporting for compliance and learning processes, including annual anti-harassment training in Docebo, while expanding systems support over time to additional platforms such as Quantum • Develop and maintain SOPs, process guides, troubleshooting steps, FAQs, and knowledge base content so processes are documented, scalable, and not dependent on one individual • Identify and implement process, system, and automation improvements that reduce manual work, improve the employee experience, and help the HR Operations team scale • Lead or support the team’s adoption of AI by identifying practical use cases, creating agents or automations, and embedding scalable solutions into team workflows • Partner closely with HR Operations Specialists and Managers, as well as cross-functional teams including IT, Payroll, Finance, Legal, HRBPs, Total Rewards, and Talent Acquisition, to resolve issues, improve workflows, and support scalable execution • Bring forward new ideas, manage competing priorities and projects with clear milestones, monitor system releases and best practices, and support ad hoc reporting, audits, and operational initiatives based on team priorities
