• Review and analyze escrow account reconciliations submitted by title agents. • Identify potential risk factors, irregularities, or practices that could impact agents or the company. • Communicate findings and recommendations to agents and management. • Identify outstanding premium or search revenue reflected in reconciliations and report findings to management. • Review in-house closings and agent escrow accounts as requested. • Assist with audits of prospective and terminated agents. • Prepare detailed written audit reports and maintain organized audit workpapers. • Partner with internal stakeholders to support risk mitigation and compliance efforts.
• Conduct audits and reviews of title agency operations, escrow practices, and financial records • Identify risks, trends, compliance concerns, and operational improvement opportunities • Prepare detailed audit findings and recommendations for management and agency partners • Communicate professionally with agents, leadership, and internal stakeholders regarding audit results and corrective actions • Analyze documentation and financial information to ensure adherence to company standards and industry regulations • Maintain accurate audit workpapers and records • Travel throughout Florida to conduct agency audits and strengthen relationships with agency partners • Collaborate with internal teams to support risk management initiatives and promote best practices
• Coordinate, develop, and deliver continuing education (CE) seminars for title agents, customers, and company employees throughout Florida. • Design, implement, and maintain online training programs, including Florida Learning Center courses and CE credit offerings. • Collaborate with state, regional, and field leadership to identify training needs and develop educational content for both live and virtual delivery. • Create, update, and maintain course materials that address current real estate and title insurance topics. • Secure speakers, coordinate logistics, and facilitate the successful execution of seminars and training sessions. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Florida and national real estate and title insurance industry developments. • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Florida real estate law by providing educational insight and clarification to agents and company personnel. • Respond to inquiries regarding legal and regulatory topics to promote understanding and compliance. • Review legal documents for educational and training purposes, including deeds, mortgages, lien waivers, surveys, court orders, and related instruments. • Monitor state and federal legal and regulatory changes impacting real estate and title insurance. • Integrate relevant legal updates into training materials and educational programs. • Support internal education related to compliance standards and best practices. • Support company growth by enhancing education and training offerings that add value to agents and customers. • Represent the company at industry events, trade associations, and bar programs through educational presentations. • Deliver instruction on legal, regulatory, and industry topics at conferences and seminars. • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by management to support education, training, and organizational development efforts.

Role Description In this position, you will successfully progress through an on-the-job training program, for up to 12 months, with the goal of learning basic to moderate mapping skills including knowledge of legal descriptions, property documents, and the Fund’s title plant standards to accurately map and post acreage legal descriptions into the title plant. Learns to accurately research and resolve basic mapping issues. - This is a fully remote position, but applicants must live within 50 miles of Orlando, FL or Palm Harbor, FL. - Progressively learn how to obtain and utilize basic to moderate knowledge of legal descriptions, property documents and the Fund’s title plant standards to map and post legal descriptions into the title plant. - Accurately research and interpret public records documents. - Read and accurately interpret all types of legal descriptions. - Accurately apply Fund standards for title plant mapping and posting. - Identify and resolve replats and other discrepancies to ensure the correct information is posted into the title plant. - Use problem solving to learn new skills and increase mapping knowledge. - Manually map legal descriptions onto paper code sheet maps. - Utilize the basic Plat and Replat mapping process. - Utilize the basic grid building process. - Use ArcGIS/ICOMAP to map legal descriptions in the Fund’s GIS environment. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent. - Job experiences that demonstrate the ability to learn progressive job tasks in a production environment is preferred. - ArcGIS or Computer Assisted Drawing (CAD) experience is preferred. - Public records, property documents and legal descriptions is preferred. - Knowledge of Public Land Survey System is preferred. - Knowledge of Cadastral maps/surveys preferred. Requirements - Basic math skills including the ability to apply basic geometry and curves to mapping assignments. - Ability to learn and use protractors and engineering scales during mapping. - Ability to learn to map legal descriptions on paper and in GIS system. - Knowledge of the title insurance and information industry is preferred. Role Description Our Title Examiner is responsible for the review and interpretation of chains of title obtained from title plant systems for mapped properties with direct starter bases, and the preparation and issuance of preliminary reports. They ensure the accuracy and completeness of title documents and provide detailed reports on their findings. This role also provides assistance for Examiner I. - Verify all property and tax information obtained is complete and correctly reported. - Verify all necessary maps and additional documents for customer packages are made for each search. - Confirm starter base is appropriate for run start date, and all subsequent information is included in search package. - Review and interpret all documents, maps and instruments contained in the chain of title obtained from various property information systems from a direct starter date. - Provide document copies, research projects, color coded maps and other items as requested by escrow departments and clients. - Identify any defects, restrictions, or encumbrances on property titles and recommend corrective actions. - Ensure all title examination activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. - Support Searching Unit as needed for product workflow. Qualifications - Knowledge of locating techniques and legal descriptions used for real property. - Knowledge of real property computer database programs, and the ability to compile accurate and complete title information abstracts from the following real property information systems based on your local operations customarily practice. - Knowledge of title insurance practices, real estate law and Company policy relating to the issuance of preliminary reports. - 6-7 plus years of Title Industry experience, preferably in title examination. - Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects. We are adding a Policy Typist to our team. The successful candidate for this position is capable of reviewing, billing and finalizing lender, owner and other types of final title policies. In addition to being an outstanding keyboarding professional, you will have had exposure and knowledge in the title industry. This is not an entry-level position but does require experience in title policies.
