Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to provide end-to-end legal support across our group entities, combining corporate maintenance, contract work, regulatory compliance, IP management, and M&A across multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the UK, Cyprus, and the EU. This is an ownership role where you will take full responsibility for legal processes from start to finish, build scalable legal frameworks, and continuously improve how legal operations are run. You will work closely with the founders, proactively drive improvements, and leverage AI tools to work faster and more effectively.

Own legal processes end-to-end — design, implement, and continuously improve legal workflows as the business grows.

Manage day-to-day legal support for company incorporations and ongoing corporate maintenance across multiple jurisdictions (including the UK, Cyprus, the EU, Estonia, Poland, Latvia, and others).

Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain a wide range of commercial agreements, including: service agreements, white-label agreements, licensing agreements, partnership agreements, customer agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Ensure the company's products and services comply with applicable regulatory requirements, with a particular focus on UK and EU fintech regulations.

Support financial licensing processes and manage relationships with banks and financial institutions, including documentation, compliance communication, and ongoing account maintenance.

Manage intellectual property matters, including trademark registration, protection, maintenance, and the Cyprus IP Box regime.

Support M&A transactions, including legal due diligence, transaction documentation, and coordination with external advisors across jurisdictions.

Identify legal and regulatory risks and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice, including for complex or non-standard matters.

Maintain corporate records and ensure all legal, corporate, and financial documentation remains accurate, organised, and up to date.

Communicate with external law firms, corporate secretaries, accountants, auditors, regulators, and other service providers.

Conduct legal research on regulatory developments, fintech legislation, and corporate governance across relevant jurisdictions.

Work closely with the founders, actively participating in strategic decisions and proactively proposing improvements to legal and corporate processes.

Actively use AI tools to streamline legal research, drafting, document management, and day-to-day legal operations.
Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Legal Counsel, Corporate Lawyer, or in a similar legal role.

Strong experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.

Experience supporting companies across multiple jurisdictions, particularly the UK, Cyprus, and the EU.

Good understanding of fintech, payments, e-money, or broader financial services regulation.

Hands-on experience with company incorporations, corporate maintenance, and corporate governance.

Experience supporting financial licensing processes and working with banks or financial institutions.

Experience managing intellectual property matters, including trademarks. Experience with the Cyprus IP Box regime is a strong advantage.

Experience supporting M&A transactions, including legal due diligence and transaction documentation.

Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and legal writing skills.

Ability to independently own legal matters from initiation through completion.
