Role Description You'll drive net-new pipeline by hitting high-fit mid-market accounts, segmenting CRM signals (triggers, lookalikes against closed-won, re-engagement on closed-lost, event attendees, etc.) and cold ICP whitespace. - Work the lists with the team to define which CRM cohorts and trigger plays to attack together. - Execute against defined plays, surface what's working and what isn't, and provide feedback to sharpen targeting over time. - Utilize the technical foundation in place, including RevOps, solutions engineer, and manager of sales development. - Write outreach worth replying to, including emails, LinkedIn messages, follow-ups, and cold call openers. - Use Motion's internal AI product, Runneth, to ship custom apps and personalized assets as part of high-intent plays. - Work closely with your manager to diagnose intent, qualify against SAL criteria, and convert to booked meetings. - Surface conversion data back to the team to compound function effectiveness. - Approach prospects as future partners, focusing on collaborative outbound processes. - Be prepared to explore a new approach to outbound. Senior Software Engineer

Role Description Motion’s products increasingly rely on data-intensive APIs. Beyond our reporting platform, MCP server, and public endpoints, these APIs now power per-customer environments where AI systems can execute tasks, access customer-specific state, and proactively run analysis. Today, that means Azure VMs running Dockerized workloads and a growing layer of application code which needs to cover everything from functionality to routine updates. We’re looking for a senior software engineer who loves working at the boundary between product code and infrastructure. This is not a traditional DevOps or SRE role. You’ll spend most of your time writing application code that controls infrastructure primitives: - Messaging queue abstractions - VM management - Data lifecycle - Container updates - No-downtime migrations - Bootstrapping - Permissions - Observability - Security The right person is comfortable going deep into Linux, containers, networking, and all that jazz, but thinks like a product engineer: shipping reliable systems, choosing pragmatic abstractions, and making complicated runtime behavior feel routine to our customers. Our tech stack: Node.js, TypeScript, React, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Azure, and Pulumi. Qualifications - 6+ years of experience as a software engineer, with meaningful time spent going deep into infrastructure. - Strong production backend experience. TypeScript / Node.js is ideal, but we care more about strong engineering judgment and the ability to learn our stack quickly. - Deep, hands-on cloud experience. Azure is where we live, but AWS or GCP experience transfers if you are strong on the fundamentals. - Fluency with infrastructure-as-code. We use Pulumi but any relevant experience in Terraform or CDK is good. - Hands-on experience with containers and runtime environments. Docker is important; experience with Kubernetes, Nomad, ECS, Docker Swarm, or similar orchestration systems is helpful but not required. - Experience designing reliable systems around background jobs, queues, locks, service buses, migrations, retries, and failure recovery. - Strong security instincts for application runtime environments. Requirements - You're genuinely excited about infrastructure. When something breaks, you want to understand how the system actually works, not just scale and restart it. - A strong sense of ownership: you make decisions and move quickly to fix things quickly when they go wrong. - A pragmatic mindset. You can ship the simple thing when speed matters, while flagging that which needs to evolve later. - Comfortable in a fast-moving startup where requirements come with ambiguity and the “right” way isn't handed to you. - You enjoy being a strong individual contributor and a supportive teammate. Engineering is a team sport here. Benefits - Competitive compensation package, including equity for all employees. - Health benefits from day one. - A monthly health & lifestyle stipend to support your well-being. - 20 days of PTO. - A $1,500 work-from-home stipend. - Remote-first with hybrid flexibility. - Opportunity for impact as an early team member. - Award-winning team ranked #19 on G2's list of Best Canadian Software Companies for 2026. - Team connection through virtual and in-person events.

About Motion 💡 Motion is creating the command center for creative strategists: an AI-driven analytics and intelligence platform that bridges the gap between performance marketers and creative teams, helping them uncover what's working, what's not, and ultimately ship more winning ads across platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, Meta, and TikTok. Today, Motion is trusted by some of the world’s top e-commerce and direct-to-consumer brands and agencies (including Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer’s Dog, and HexClad) and has analyzed over $14 billion in media spend. When leading brands want to understand their creative performance, they turn to us. Our founders have built successful companies before, but what we’re most proud of is who chose to build again with them. 10% of our team worked with our founders at their previous company and followed them to Motion. That kind of loyalty doesn’t happen by accident, it’s built on trust, strong culture, and a shared belief in what we’re creating. We're growing fast (2.5x year-over-year and now 70+ team members), our product is sticky, and with a recent $30M Series B raise, we're just getting started. We're building the future of creative intelligence and are looking for talented people to help us get there! 🚀 The role Motion’s outbound engine runs in three tiers: lifecycle marketing that warms low-intent leads, an AI SDR program that hits high-fit mid-market accounts with personalized outreach at scale, and a target account motion for one-to-one pursuit. You own the middle tier. That’s where the leverage lives. The technical foundation is already in place. Our GTM team (rev ops, solutions engineer) handles the systems: Clay, internal tooling, automation workflows, and data enrichment. What we need is the sales brain behind it: someone who knows how to pick the right list, write the message that earns the reply, and turn that reply into a booked demo. What you'll do - Define which lists to target and why, slicing the market down to the accounts worth hitting and the signals that tell you when - Write the emails, LinkedIn messages, and follow-ups that get replies, not just opens. This is the core skill. - Collaborate with our creative strategy, lifecycle, and sales team to ensure learnings are passed across the team - Partner with GTM Engineering on hypothesis testing: you bring the sales judgment, they build the infrastructure - Track your own conversion metrics, form hypotheses, and ship improvements fast - Maintain clean CRM hygiene so your pipeline data can be trusted and acted on - Stay ahead of emerging outbound tools and bring them to Motion before the competition does How our team uses AI 🤖 As a company, we’re becoming AI-native. We don’t have limits on what we can try, and every team is sharing their wins. Here’s what that looks like in this role: - Building trigger-based outbound workflows in Clay and our internal tooling that fire personalized sequences when a prospect matches a buying signal — job change, funding round, competitor ad shift - Using AI to do deep account research at scale: pulling competitor positioning, summarizing company news, generating first-draft copy that sounds like it was written just for that prospect - Analyzing reply patterns and campaign performance to figure out what’s landing — then feeding those learnings back into the next campaign’s targeting and messaging - Iterating on the system itself, not just running it — proposing new automations, testing new tools, killing what doesn’t work Who we're looking for - Proven outbound experience — you’ve built pipeline from cold, booked meetings from scratch, and have the track record to show for it - You’ve built or been central to an AI-powered personalized outreach program: designed the system, owned the results, and iterated on what worked - Strong list-building instincts — you know how to define an ICP, slice a market, and prioritize the accounts worth going after first - You write well and care about it. Strong opinions on what makes cold outreach actually work, with results to back them up - Commercially sharp with the ability to hold a credible conversation with senior buyers at mid-market DTC brands and agencies - Genuinely AI-native — already using tools like Clay and n8n in your workflow, with real opinions on what’s worth the hype - Self-directed: you set your own targets, track your own numbers, and don’t need a manager to tell you what to do What this is not - A role where the system gets handed to you — the infrastructure exists, but the sales judgment is yours to build and own - A role with a warm lead queue or inbound volume to lean on - A role for someone who needs a defined playbook before they can start - An execution-only role — if you’re not interested in building and improving the program itself, this isn’t the right fit What you'll love about Motion 💜 - Competitive compensation package: We offer competitive compensation, including equity for all employees, health benefits from day one, a monthly health & lifestyle stipend to support your well-being, 20 days of PTO, and a $1,500 work-from-home stipend. - Growth that speaks for itself: Motion has strong product-market fit, 3x YoY growth, second-time founders with deep industry knowledge, and $30M in Series B funding to fuel our momentum. - Training & development: We have comprehensive onboarding to prepare you to be an expert in our industry and will build an individualized learning plan once you’re fully ramped. - Expertise & autonomy: You’ll learn to become a marketing expert and have the autonomy to make decisions and influence our output. - A culture of collaboration & transparency: We value chatting through opinions over top-down decisions, maintain transparency across the organization into decision-making processes, and ensure your voice will be heard if you have any feedback. - Remote-first with hybrid flexibility: We're a remote-first company with team members spanning Canada, the U.S., and beyond, but also have office spaces in 4 main hubs (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Porto) for optional hybrid work. - Team connection: To stay connected in a virtual workspace, we get together at least once yearly for a company-wide offsite (this year, we spent a week by the lake in Muskoka, Canada!) - Virtual: Day-to-day, we use Roam, an AI-powered virtual office platform that fosters spontaneous collaboration, drop into meetings or quick chats, and interact with colleagues for a simulated, "live" digital headquarters. - In-person: Outside of the option to go to one of our offices, our team gets together for a team offsite once/year, and we have a company retreat every summer. We closed out 2024 with a $30M Series B raise and strong signals from our customers. In 2025, we built the foundational capabilities our customers rely on, setting the stage for what's to come. In 2026, we’re building forward from that foundation, taking what we learned to market in a deeply AI-native way. The direction is clearer, the stakes are higher, and there’s a lot left to build. 🌎 A note on location: Motion is a fully remote company but we’re looking for someone based in Canada who can work with significant overlap to ET working hours.

About Motion 💡 Motion is creating the command center for creative strategists: an AI-driven analytics and intelligence platform that bridges the gap between performance marketers and creative teams, helping them uncover what's working, what's not, and ship more winning ads across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. We believe the creative strategist is quickly becoming — if not already — the highest-leverage role on any growth team. The brands winning in paid social right now aren't winning because of their media buying. They're winning because someone figured out the right message, for the right person, at the right moment. That's the creative strategist. And Motion is the platform built for them. Today, Motion is trusted by some of the world's top DTC brands and agencies — including Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer's Dog, and HexClad — and has analyzed over $12 billion in media spend. We're growing fast (3x year-over-year), recently raised a $30M Series B, and now have 70 team members. We're building the future of creative intelligence and we're looking for people who want to help define what that looks like. Why this role is exciting ✨ - You'll be a creative strategist working for the product built for creative strategists, on the inside, making ads for the people this product was built for, and working closer than anyone with the team actually building it. - Your job isn't just to make ads that work. It's to get so good at this craft that your POV carries weight inside Motion and in the industry, and we'll give you the environment to do it in. - You'll work at the intersection of creative strategy, performance data, and AI, and help define what best-in-class looks like at scale. What you'd be doing 🧠 - Do customer research that actually drives what we make: Reviews, Reddit, competitor ads, comment sections, customer interviews. You know where to look, but more importantly, you know how to query for the right patterns and insights, then bring what you find into your briefs and hypotheses. - Run creative tests with a real hypothesis behind them: Every concept you bring to the pipeline has a testable idea at the centre of it. Not just "let's try a talking head", but a specific belief about a specific customer at a specific moment. - Write briefs and scripts that get you the outcome you need: Your briefs tell the designer or videographer exactly what to make and why, and tell the test exactly what question it's answering. If someone has to ask a follow-up, the brief wasn't good enough. - Own the content and events funnels end-to-end: We have SOPs for every content download and event promotion we run. You'll own execution from first brief to post-launch analysis and be accountable for helping us meet our goals. - Work with our Creative Strategy Lead on growth initiatives: Our Creative Strategy team is expanding into full-funnel marketing, including landing pages, organic social, product launches, and events. Some of those are yours to own. Others you'll work on together as a real thinking partner, not just an executor. - Help us build and improve our internal Creative Engine: We're building AI-powered systems for brief writing, research, repurposing, and QA, and we want you involved in making them better, not just using them. Bring ideas, build things, and help us turn good processes into repeatable ones. - Be a resource for the product and go-to-market teams: Once you're up to speed, you'll QA product features, contribute to events and educational resources, and help the GTM team understand how creative strategists actually think. Your POV matters internally. Who you are 🫵 - You're obsessed with direct response creative, especially hooks: You understand psychological triggers, hook tactics, identity targeting, awareness stages, and what makes an opening line stop the scroll. You can watch the first three seconds of an ad and tell us exactly why the hook worked (or didn't). - You've made a winning ad and you can prove it: You can point to a specific ad, explain the hypothesis behind it, and walk through the results. You know why it worked. - You care about real customer research: You know how to find what drives someone toward or away from a product and turn that into a creative angle that resonates. The brief starts with the customer. - You're curious about the whole funnel: Paid ads, landing pages, organic social, events — you find all of it interesting and you want to understand how each piece connects to business outcomes. - You're genuinely AI-curious and already using it: You're using Claude or ChatGPT intentionally in your current process and you can walk us through it. You're not waiting for someone else to figure it out. - You're systems-minded: You turn processes into templates, templates into skills, skills into things the whole team runs without thinking. You build for scalability, not just your own efficiency. - You're high-agency: When something's unclear, you make a call, do the thing, and flag what you decided. You don't wait to be told what to do. - You want to be a top 1% creative strategist: You have strong opinions about the best methodologies, you love telling stories with data, and you're genuinely ambitious about the craft. This isn't just a job to you. - You share our POV on Creative Strategy: You believe that creative decisions that move the needle are rooted in real customer research and executed around a specific, testable hypothesis. You don't just "have opinions about creative strategy." You have a system. And when you look at a new brief or a new product, you know exactly how to approach it. - You love helping people and you don't gatekeep: You share what you know — with the team, with the product team, at events. Knowledge sharing is leverage. - You thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments: We learn fast and move faster. You cut through the noise, focus on what moves the needle, and don't need everything figured out before you start. - You already know and love Motion: You've used it. You have opinions about how it can be better. Bonus points if you can tell us what you'd fix first. What you'll love about Motion 💜 - Competitive compensation package: We offer competitive compensation, including equity for all employees, health benefits from day one, a monthly health & lifestyle stipend to support your well-being, 20 days of PTO, and a $1,500 work-from-home stipend. - Remote-first with hybrid flexibility: We're a remote-first company with team members spanning Canada, the U.S., and beyond, but also have office spaces in 4 main hubs (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, and Porto) for optional hybrid work. - Growth that speaks for itself: Motion has strong product-market fit, 2.5x YoY growth, second-time founders with deep industry knowledge, and $30M in Series B funding to fuel our momentum. - Opportunity for impact: As an early team member, your contributions will directly shape the product, team, and the future of the company. If you're excited about building, you’ll thrive here! - Award-winning team: We're a low-ego, high-performing team that was just ranked #19 on G2's list of Best Canadian Software Companies for 2026. - Team connection: - Virtual: Day-to-day, we use Roam, an AI-powered virtual office platform that fosters spontaneous collaboration, drop into meetings or quick chats, and interact with colleagues for a simulated, "live" digital headquarters. - In-person: Outside of the option to go to one of our offices, our team gets together in-person for a week every two months, and we have a company retreat every summer. In 2026, we’re building forward from that foundation, taking what we learned to market in a deeply AI-native way. The direction is clearer, the stakes are higher, and there’s a lot left to build. 🌎 A note on location: we're looking to hire someone based in Canada but are open to exceptional candidates in other locations. If this position excites you and you believe you'd be a strong fit, we encourage you to apply!

🚀 The role This is a ground-floor enterprise sales hire. The mid-market business is strong – product-market fit is real, the team is closing, and inbound is healthy. Now we're going after a different tier: Fortune 500 brands. That requires a different kind of motion. Your job is to open, navigate, and close deals with large, complex organizations – brands like Nike, Sephora, and tier-1 retailers – where procurement involves multiple stakeholders, long cycles, and real relationship work. You won't have an SDR handing you leads. Your pipeline is 100% self-sourced. You'll build your own target account list, identify the right contacts across org charts, and run a disciplined outbound motion from first touch to close. When you need a demo deep-dive, you'll pull in support – but you own the relationship end-to-end. There's no enterprise playbook at Motion yet. You'll help write it. What you'll do - Build and own a target account list focused on Fortune 500 and large DTC brands with significant paid media spend - Run a disciplined outbound motion: LinkedIn, email, phone, events – whatever it takes to get in the room - Navigate complex org structures to identify and build champions across creative strategy, performance marketing, and the C-suite - Lead discovery, manage multi-threaded deal cycles, and negotiate contracts and security requirements through legal and procurement - Partner closely with the founding team on enterprise GTM strategy – you'll have real input on how we approach this market - Feed learnings back into the business: what objections come up, what's working, what we need to build Who we're looking for - Proven track record of landing enterprise logos – you've hunted large accounts and closed them, not just managed renewals - Experience navigating multi-stakeholder, multi-threaded deals at companies with 1,000+ employees - Genuinely outbound-native: you're comfortable building pipeline from scratch, not dependent on inbound volume - You bring relationships – ideally you already know people at the types of brands we're targeting - High EQ, executive presence, and the ability to build credibility quickly with senior buyers - A bias toward action: you figure things out, you don't wait to be told - Familiarity with the paid media, creative, or martech space is a plus – but strong enterprise hunters without it can ramp fast What this is not - A role where you manage inbound demos all day - A role with a warm lead queue on day one - A role for someone who needs a fully built playbook before they can start Compensation $350,000 upcapped (base + commission). We structure this with a competitive base and aggressive upside tied to a revenue target that reflects the size of the opportunity. Exact structure TBD based on experience. What you'll love about Motion 💜 - Competitive compensation package: We offer competitive compensation, including equity for all employees, health benefits from day one, a monthly health & lifestyle stipend to support your well-being, 20 days of PTO, and a $1,500 work-from-home stipend. The direction is clearer, the stakes are higher, and there’s a lot left to build. 🌎 A note on location: Motion is a fully remote company but we’re looking for someone based in Canada or the United States who can work with significant overlap to ET working hours.

About Motion Motion is building the first end-to-end agentic work suite for everyday businesses. Unlike point solutions or bolt-on tools, Motion was built from the ground up with AI agents at the core. Our platform already powers project management, documents, sheets, calendars, meetings, knowledge, and communication — and now we’re layering in AI Employees that can autonomously execute work across all of it. What makes us different is that our agents are natively embedded in the platform. They’re not integrations, and they’re not copilots that just suggest things — they actually complete work with full access to data, context, and workflows. In just three months, AI Employees have grown from $0 to eight-figure ARR, and we’re only getting started. With backing from YC and Sam Altman, a $500M+ valuation, and hundreds of thousands of users, we’re well positioned to lead. Now we’re building agents that work with extreme accuracy and unlock an order-of-magnitude boost in productivity. Motion is intense, fast, and not for everyone. We're a great place to focus, learn, and accelerate your career. If you want to work with top talent, push yourself harder than you thought possible, and help redefine how AI gets deployed in the real world, then you’ll thrive here. About the Role We're looking for a Product Designer who blurs the line between design and engineering — someone who doesn't just hand off specs, but owns the end result. You'll be embedded in a product vertical, working closely with the vertical owner to go from idea to shipped, beautiful, functional UI with minimal friction. You identify as a designer first. You obsess over the user experience. You don't start from technical constraints — you start from "what should this feel like?" and work backwards. What You'll Do - Own the design and front-end implementation of your vertical's user-facing product - Translate product requirements into polished, high-quality UI — end to end - Iterate quickly using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Codex, Lovable) to bring your designs to life without bottlenecking on engineering - Drive design decisions with a strong point of view on taste, UX, and visual quality - Collaborate with engineers when integration is needed, knowing when to ask for help and when to just build it What We're Looking For - You identify primarily as a designer, but you've spent at least a year writing code — enough to have intuition for what's easy vs. hard to build - A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional taste — not just clean layouts, but evidence that you think deeply about the user's experience - Comfort with AI-assisted development tools; you use them naturally and creatively, not as a crutch - High ownership: you drive your work to completion without needing to be managed closely - You start every problem from the user experience, not from technical limitations Really Nice to Have - Experience using Lovable, Codex, Claude code, or similar coding platforms - Front-end knowledge (CSS, JavaScript basics) sufficient to understand implementation tradeoffs - Experience working in fast-moving, ambiguous startup environments Compensation & Eligibility - Location: North America & Canada (remote) - Compensation: $180k-$225k base salary, plus equity compensation Motion is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect and given equal opportunities. We do not discriminate based on gender identity, race, ancestry, disability, religion, sexual orientation, pregnancy status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
