We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including: - Tuition waiver and reimbursement program - Health insurance - Paid time off - Retirement savings plan Primary Duties and Responsibilities - Faculty Onboarding - Collaboratively design and coordinate disaggregated onboarding/orientation for faculty aligned with modalities of teaching assignments (didactic, experiential, online) delivery. - Provide regular and ongoing reporting of new faculty performance in onboarding activities to hiring managers for future planning/contingency. - Conduct follow-up conversations with new faculty over first term of teaching to ensure support and alignment with university expectations. - Identify, maintain, and publish electronic resources for new faculty in the Center for Teaching and Learning. - Faculty Assessment and Evaluation - Calibrate faculty evaluation measures with faculty managers to ensure consistency in the evaluation of faculty. - Provide recommendations to university leadership regarding faculty evaluation policies and procedures. - Develop and implement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of faculty development programs. - Organize and deliver the university faculty recognition program. - Faculty Development and Advancement - Coordinate and support practitioner as faculty model by collaborating with faculty to assess teaching needs and develop innovative curriculum and instructional strategies. - Design and deliver faculty development workshops, seminars, and training programs to enhance pedagogical skills, including the integration of technology and active learning methodologies. - Develop and maintain faculty development resources via the Center for Teaching and Learning. - Contribute to the implementation of a robust and multi-faceted program of faculty development to support the development of faculty competencies and instructional excellence in all instructional modalities, programs, and campuses across the University. - Support campus/department/modality faculty development that is informed by student learning and faculty evaluation data. - Coordinate regular training with vendor partners for new and existing faculty. - Facilitate faculty learning events in multiple modalities; including synchronous classroom and web-based instruction, asynchronous learning modules. - Provide one-on-one coaching and feedback sessions with individual faculty members. Role Description The Associate Registrar provides leadership and oversight for teams supporting new student enrollment and continuing student registrar services. This role ensures the effective execution of processes in alignment with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. The Associate Registrar partners closely with the Senior Registrar and serves as a key resource across the institution. This position reports directly to the Senior Registrar. Requirements - Lead and supervise the Enrollment Team Assistant Registrar and the Registrar Services Team Assistant Registrar. - Partner with the Senior Registrar to evaluate, develop, and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and operational standards. - Ensure consistent and accurate communication of academic policies and procedures to the Registrar’s Office staff. - Monitor and audit teams’ outputs to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with Herzing, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. - Ensure the University’s service level agreements are maintained for the Enrollment and Registrar Services teams. - Provide leadership, coaching, and development to staff, promoting accountability, engagement and successful delivery of key results. - Manage team performance, which includes delivering consistent quality feedback, providing reinforcement and recognition when appropriate, and taking corrective action when necessary. - Oversee the training, development and coordination of division staff and department activities to ensure team has the skills and ability to perform their jobs effectively. - Lead teams in driving the execution of the University’s and the Department’s strategic priorities. - Manage department to appropriate staffing levels; ensuring all new hires receive appropriate training. - Foster a culture of growth by identifying talent and supporting ongoing professional development for the team. - Act as a liaison to internal departments, providing guidance on student scheduling and academic policy matters. - Assist in performing all new student and continuing student Registrar tasks as needed. - Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, faculty and third parties. - Ensure staff is adhering to FERPA and other related regulatory requirements. - Participate in appropriate professional organizations and stay informed with best practices established by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO). - Participate in administrative meetings and committees as assigned. - Act on behalf of Senior Registrar in his or her absence. - All other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements - Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time. - Must be able to occasionally move around the work location. - Constantly operates office and/or teaching equipment which may include computers, copiers, fax machines, audio/visuals. - Frequently uses voice and hearing to communicate with students, staff or colleagues face-to-face or over the telephone. - Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess. - Occasionally move, carry, or lift 10 pounds.
