• Act as the EMEA subject matter expert for precision machining processes (e.g., CNC grinding, milling, turning, honing), representing the region within the Global Supplier Quality team. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across suppliers producing high-precision automotive fuel system components to enhance quality and efficiency. • Establish and implement robust process controls and advanced metrology practices to ensure extremely tight tolerances (±0.001 mm or better). • Lead new product introduction (NPI) activities using APQP and PPAP to ensure a Zero Defect Mentality (ZDM) across the supply base. • Provide strategic input and decision-making support through strong technical expertise and business acumen within the precision machining category. • Build and strengthen cross-functional and external partnerships (suppliers, customers, engineering, manufacturing, purchasing) to improve quality and business outcomes. • Enable suppliers to achieve Right First Time manufacturing by offering technical guidance and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and requirements. • Lead supplier audits, root cause analysis, and quality improvement plans, while coaching stakeholders and driving the use of Lean, Six Sigma, and industry-standard quality tools.

Role Description We are looking for a talented Thermal and Fluid Systems Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering in Milano, Lombardia, Italy. The role offers flexibility in terms of working arrangements. You can either work fully remotely from anywhere in Italy or follow a hybrid working model, combining remote work with regular presence in our Turin or Milan office (60% onsite / 40% remote). In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: - You will use thermal and fluid sciences to evaluate system and component performance, helping guide technical decisions that support advanced, efficient, and environmentally responsible products. - You will develop and apply 3D CFD combustion models and simulation workflows for current and future compression ignition and spark ignition engine technologies. - You will combine high-fidelity 3D CFD with 1D system-level modelling to assess combustion system architectures and support design optimization. - You will perform in-cylinder combustion and conjugate heat transfer analysis to improve the performance and durability of critical engine power-cylinder components. - You will investigate thermal-fluid product or technology issues, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and document results to support problem resolution. - You will contribute to platform engineering development programs by helping fulfil open-cycle and closed-cycle combustion simulation requirements. - You will strengthen analysis-led product development by improving modelling, simulation, testing, and data-analysis processes. - You will collaborate with engineers, technical leaders, project teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver clear recommendations that support high-quality project decisions.
