Supplier Quality Engineer – Technical Specialist

• Build strong relationships with all critical partners to improve quality and business outcomes. • Provide manufacturing consultation to external suppliers. • Apply industry common Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes. • Embrace continuous improvement in the external supply base. • Conduct external supplier audits to support supplier performance improvement. • Ensure resolution of external supplier related quality challenges by leading root cause analysis.

Job Requirements

  • Preferably 7 years experience in a Manufacturing or Engineering role in the automotive industry, or a similarly regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes.
  • Solid knowledge of DIP (Through-hole / Wave Soldering).
  • Familiarity with electronic assembly processes.
  • Understanding of test processes.
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Role Description This position is a full-time Telework position. The position will primarily be responsible for reading cases in the Region 8, but the selected applicant who is the most qualified person for the position may be located anywhere in the state. CPS Quality Assurance Specialist III - The position performs analytical work and consultation in social service programs administered by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and the evaluation of program compliance within Child Protective Services (CPS). - Performs quarterly structured case readings for various stages of CPS. - Reviews cases during regional reviews for the regions, including sample case reviews required by CPS state office program compliance staff with the Child and Family Service Review (CFSR) structured case reading instrument. - Contributes regional information to the quarterly report to federal partners regarding the Texas CFSR Program Improvement Plan. - Communicates quality assurance results to CPS regional staff. - Interacts routinely with regional and state office CPS staff, the general public, external stakeholder groups, and various other organizations. - Conducts a variety of Ad hoc case reviews as assigned. - Assists with the development and presentation of various trainings to Regional Staff. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university. - At least five years of full-time professional technical work experience related to Child Protective Investigations or Child Protective Services. - Experience with quality assurance work or quality improvement work is preferred.
