Global Manufacturing Quality Engineer - Welding Specialist

Role Description We are looking for a talented Global Mfg Quality Engineer - Welding Specialist to join our team remotely, specializing in manufacturing for our Cummins’ business based out of Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: - Drive manufacturing excellence by leading the development and implementation of welding processes that consistently meet safety, quality, productivity, and business performance objectives. - Improve product quality and reliability by applying advanced welding expertise to optimize process parameters, reduce defects, and ensure compliance with product specifications and industry standards. - Lead strategic process improvement initiatives by leveraging continuous improvement methodologies to increase efficiency, reduce waste, lower costs, and enhance overall manufacturing performance. - Establish and standardize best practices by developing welding standards, procedures, and working methods that improve consistency, repeatability, and operational effectiveness across multiple projects and facilities. - Influence critical business and technical decisions by partnering with business leaders, functional teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to align welding strategies with organizational goals. - Advance manufacturing capabilities by identifying, evaluating, and implementing new welding technologies, equipment improvements, and innovative processes that strengthen competitive advantage. - Lead complex cross-functional projects by coordinating internal and external resources, managing priorities, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful execution of multiple welding-related initiatives. - Build organizational capability and expertise by coaching stakeholders, mentoring team members, and serving as a technical leader who elevates welding knowledge, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
