Position Summary Job Title: Vice President of Operations & General Manager (Government) Reports To: Executive Vice President FLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARYThis position’s primary responsibility is to ensure safety is the center point of company operations, oversee contract location teams, Director of Operations and contractual relationships with clients. This responsibility involves ensuring operational standards are maintained, training and development is supported for all team members and maintaining exceptional relationships with all client stakeholders. May attend trade shows and conferences to support company growth. Will work with Director of Operations and Site Managers on national vendor contract compliance. Will work with Business Development team on technical items with proposal development. This position is based remotely, with some travel to corporate offices as needed. Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. In addition to interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. This is a remote-based position with strong preference for candidates residing in TX or FL. Compensation: Competitive Salary Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salesforce.com) – considered highly beneficial• Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, with a focus on Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word• Ability to articulate complex solutions to prospects from local Managers to C-level officers• Discipline: a proven track record as a self-starter and adherence to sales metrics with a very strong work ethic• Strong customer orientation, with a high level of comfort making cold calls and quickly developing rapport with prospective clients• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and operational level PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Role Description Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Regional Fleet Manager - Southeast. The Regional Fleet Manager will oversee an aggressive preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of large, medium, and light duty diesel trucks and trailers, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet. Maintain business relationships with current and new accounts while ensuring a team of Fleet Managers have the tools to be successful. This is a remote-based position and will involve up to 50-75% travel covering NC, GA, SC, FL, LA, IL, IN, WI, and MN. Salary range: $110,000-$120,000 plus annual performance-based bonus. Qualifications - Must possess at least 10+ years' industry experience in fleet maintenance management or operations capacity within the auto/diesel industry. - Must possess 10+ years as a Manager within the automotive or diesel industry. - Must have experience in expanding business in a fleet environment. - Prior technician/mechanic experience is required. - Must be familiar with light-heavy truck/trailer repair and maintenance. - ASE certifications are a plus. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Must be able to travel as needed. - Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.). - Thorough knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance, DOT rules and regulations, company policies and procedures. - Proven leadership and interpersonal skills. - Strong computer skills.
