Role Description At Camunda, we've made a deliberate bet: move fast, ship autonomously, and trust our teams to build the right things. That only works if someone is deeply connected to what our customers actually need — before a single line of code is written. That someone is you. As our Generative Researcher, you'll be the forward signal for our entire Strategy pillar, running weekly discovery across every customer persona — from developers and business analysts to CoE leads and compliance officers — and translating what you learn into opportunity maps that directly shape what we build next. You'll work independently alongside our Outcome DRIs — the strategic PMs accountable for what Camunda builds and why — feeding them the honest customer signal they need to set direction and sharpen Camunda's strategic narrative. This is a role for someone who believes great research doesn't just describe problems — it changes decisions. What You Will Do - Run 2–4 structured customer discovery conversations per week across all persona groups, following the signal wherever it leads and capturing the actual language customers use. - Build and maintain live opportunity maps that feed all three Outcome DRIs directly — time to first production, enterprise adoption, and production confidence. - Work closely with Outcome DRIs to ensure your research findings are translated into direction briefs. - Own the failure library: a continuously maintained record of every customer who couldn't reach value with Camunda and why. - Run the monthly FDE synthesis ritual, translating field signal from our forward-deployed engineers into structured opportunity map updates. - Run monthly holistic end-to-end validation sessions that stress-test the full integrated product experience. - Challenge direction when evidence contradicts it: bring the data clearly to Outcome DRIs. Qualifications - 5+ years in product research, UX research, or customer discovery in a B2B SaaS or enterprise software environment. - A track record of synthesising across multiple personas and product surfaces into actionable opportunity maps. - Demonstrated experience working directly with strategic PMs or product leadership to translate research into direction. - Disciplined about the boundary between insight and narrative. - Strong async written communication. Requirements - Familiarity with process automation, workflow orchestration, agentic AI, or developer tooling. - Experience contributing to field synthesis rituals alongside forward-deployed engineers, sales engineers, or customer success teams. - Comfortable flexing between generative and evaluative methods depending on what the question requires. - Experience in a role that sat explicitly at the intersection of product strategy and go-to-market. Benefits - Competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. - Equity through our Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP). - Remote & Flexible work options with home office budget and flexible time off. - In Person Connection through annual kickoff events and team offsites. - Access to locally tailored healthcare and mental wellbeing resources. - Retirement and pension plans, plus life and disability insurance. - Up to $/€/£1,000 per year for self-driven learning: courses, certifications, books.

Role Description qSpark is looking for a quantitative researcher with a genuine edge in signal research and market microstructure to join our team. This role demands someone who ships research into live strategies and is laser-focused on strategies that achieve high Sharpe in production. - Research, develop, and continuously improve quantitative trading signals across HFT and near-HFT timeframes, with a relentless focus on high Sharpe, deployable strategies. - Design and run rigorous backtests that honestly account for microstructure: spread costs, venue behavior, print filtering, adverse selection, and realistic fill modeling — with the explicit goal of performance that holds up in production, not just on paper. - Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and developers to bring validated research into production and improve live strategies. - Analyze live performance regularly — decompose P&L, identify regime shifts, attribute slippage — and feed findings back into active research. - Take on increasing levels of research leadership over time, including mentoring and setting the direction for research cycles. Qualifications - 2+ years of hands-on quantitative research or strategy development in an electronic trading environment, with demonstrated ability to produce high Sharpe strategies that survive live deployment. - Strong applied statistics: Performance estimation, overfitting stress-tests, non-stationarity, and test design under real market constraints. - Fluent in Python for research; C++ familiarity a genuine advantage. - Solid knowledge of market microstructure: TAQ data interpretation, venue differences, short-term price dynamics. - Track record of taking research across the line into live production — not just exploring. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Computational Finance, or a related quantitative field.
