We’re looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Data Governance professional to join the Data and AI vertical. This role reports directly to the Head of Data and AI and will act as a high-level individual contributor as well as a strategic thought partner for the Data Leadership team and partners across Gropyus. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Management, Information Assurance, Computer Science, IT or related fields. - Significant, specialized experience (5+ years) in data governance, data quality, data management. - Experience with data governance frameworks & best practices (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, data stewardship models). - Strong knowledge of data quality dimensions and tools; ability to define, measure, monitor, remediate data quality. - Good understanding of data architecture, data modeling, metadata management, data lineage. - Strong communication, stakeholder management skills; ability to influence, negotiate, collaborate cross-teams. - Proficient in working with regulatory and legal data/privacy requirements (e.g. GDPR, EU AI Act). Requirements - Hands-on experience with one or more data governance tools/platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Talend, data catalogs, metadata tools). - Past projects or familiarity with Ontologies, OWL and Semantic languages. - Familiarity with Data Fabric or Data Mesh frameworks. - Familiarity or Experience with Graph Databases. - Experience with highly complex, dynamic domains (Construction, Consulting, or Health Care). • Design, develop, and maintain production-grade Python and Java data services and pipelines deployed on Google Cloud Platform. • Build and evolve Google Cloud Dataflow batch and streaming pipelines for data ingestion, standardization, curation, and analytics load. • Implement and maintain event-driven data workflows using Google Cloud Pub/Sub. • Design and manage BigQuery datasets, table schemas, partitioning strategies, clustering, and reporting views. • Build and maintain Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow) DAGs for workflow orchestration. • Develop and maintain Cloud Run microservices and Cloud Functions. • Participate in design and code reviews; mentor junior engineers and contribute to shared coding standards. • Collaborate with teams to ensure on-time delivery and best engineering practices. • Engage proactively in the triage and resolution of escalated production issues. • Follow and comply with all security policies and procedures established by the organization, including adherence to HIPAA and HITRUST regulations.
