Hometap helps homeowners get more from homeownership — and life — by allowing them to access their equity, debt free.
Here at Hometap, we’re collaborative, passionate, and always ready to roll up our sleeves to create solutions that help people get more out of homeownership — and out of life. Our first product, a home equity investment, gives homeowners the opportunity to quickly access the equity they’ve built in their home to pay for what’s most important to them, from handling debt to finally making much-needed renovations, without taking on debt. We work hard, and have some fun along the way, too. You don’t have to take our word for it: The Boston Globe and Forbes have recognized us as a great place to work, and we’ve been honored for our commitment to innovation in the fintech space by Inc., HousingWire, and more! In case you need any more convincing, we also provide competitive compensation, healthcare coverage, generous PTO, a meaningful equity package, and a strong culture with plenty of opportunities for team-building and camaraderie. Interested in joining us on our mission to make homeownership less stressful and more accessible? We’d love to talk. Who You Are We're growing our team and looking for ambitious sales professionals who care about getting it right for the homeowner. In this role, you'll be a homeowner's main point of contact from first call to close: connecting with inbound leads, educating them on Hometap's home equity investment, answering their questions, and guiding them through the application process. You'll own a full pipeline and keep every application moving. You're a strong fit if you've carried a quota and have a track record of closing, and you pair that drive with empathy in every conversation. You stay organized across a high volume of daily calls, adapt easily when priorities shift, and hold a high bar for ethics and compliance. You're motivated by clear targets and uncapped earning potential, and you're eager to become an expert in a product that's still new to most of the homeowners you'll talk to. What You'll Do - Engage with inbound leads to provide compliant information while connecting with empathy to understand each homeowner's circumstances - Serve as a single point of contact throughout the investment process – providing status updates, responding to questions, requesting documentation – while maintaining a high volume of daily calls - Coordinate with internal teams (processors, underwriters, etc.) to ensure efficient processes for homeowners - Manage your pipeline using Salesforce and Hometap's proprietary Hub, keeping applications up to date and communicating next steps to homeowners and internal stakeholders - Become an expert in Hometap's home equity investment (HEI) product and unique sales approach, actively participating in training and ongoing coaching - Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals - Stay current on the competitive landscape and collaborate with colleagues across originations, marketing, and legal to resolve questions and improve the homeowner experience What You Bring - 2+ years in a quota-carrying sales role with demonstrated closing experience - Experience managing a full sales cycle end-to-end, from initial outreach through contract/agreement execution - Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail - Technical aptitude to master internal tools; Salesforce experience is a plus - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities - Strong ethical judgment and commitment to regulatory compliance - Willingness to become NMLS licensed (Hometap will sponsor); active NMLS licensing is a plus - A collaborative, team-oriented approach Anticipated Start Date: mid-late August 2026 This is a remote position, and candidates must be based in the continental United States. This position will work west coast hours (9am-5pm PT). Our team is what makes us great. The on-target compensation for this role is $100,000, with uncapped earning potential for high performers. You’ll also receive meaningful equity, so you can share in our growth and success. We offer generous medical, dental, and vision coverage, a work-from-home stipend, parental leave, and plenty of paid time off to recharge. Hometap is on a mission to make homeownership less stressful and more accessible. Our home equity investment product provides homeowners with a fast, simple, and straightforward way to access the equity in their home without taking out a loan or having to sell. By investing alongside homeowners, Hometap offers debt-free cash in exchange for a share of their home’s future value — all without any monthly payments over the life of the investment. Through a combination of financial innovation and best-in-class customer service, Hometap enables people to get more from homeownership so they can get more from life. Hometap believes that our differences are what bring us together, and one of our biggest priorities is creating a diverse workplace that welcomes and values each team member’s unique perspective, background, and ideas.
