Role Description The Software Engineer Consultant II implements applications following 12-factor principles to build out the product and iterative enhancements. They partner on full stack of software products; developing and implementing frontends (web or mobile), and backend services. They leverage test driven development and continuous integration to ensure agility and quality of products. They actively participate in the decision-making process of the team ensuring that the simplest appropriate technology and design is chosen to meet user needs. • Lead assigned workstreams and moderately complex audit segments from scoping and planning through testing, issue development, and reporting, with leadership oversight. • Lead or contribute to scoping discussions, develop risk hypotheses, and help draft business stories or acceptance criteria for moderately complex audits and selected complex audit areas. • Perform or oversee walkthroughs with business and technology stakeholders to identify controls, process risks, automated processes or controls, and opportunities for improvement. • Apply audit procedures to complex business and technology controls with minimal guidance and evaluate results using fact-based conclusions. • Develop and refine control testing procedures that align to the acceptance criteria, business story, risk hypotheses, and audit scope. • Identify and evaluate alternative testing evidence and other relevant information (including data-driven sources) to support appropriate testing conclusions. • Draft, refine, and communicate audit observations and recommendations that clearly describe the issue, risk, impact, and supporting evidence, and present results to clients with oversight from audit leadership. • Use data analysis, automation, and generative AI tools to improve testing precision, increase efficiency, summarize results, and support issue development and insight generation. • Mentor junior staff on testing execution, documentation quality, stakeholder interaction, effective use of data/analytics tools, and agile ways of working, and help drive sprint progress and issue follow-up.

• Support audit sprints by executing prioritized testing activities for non-complex audit areas, with oversight on scope, timing, and deliverables. • Participate in walkthroughs, Canvas or Story Map discussions, and control identification activities to build understanding of process design, underlying systems, risks, and key controls. • Document controls, testing steps, process flows, and audit observations using standard templates and digital audit management tools. • Execute control testing by following predefined procedures and thoroughly document results ensuring completeness, accuracy, and adequate support. • Request, organize, and maintain audit evidence and workpapers in a complete and organized manner. • Perform basic data analysis using approved tools such as Excel, Power BI, or other analytics software, and apply data-driven insights to inform audit conclusions. • Use approved AI or LLM tools to support simple audit tasks such as summarization or documentation drafting, leveraging these technologies to streamline work and improve audit efficiency while validating outputs with team members. • Communicate progress, questions, and blockers during stand-ups and other team routines, and escalate issues when identified. • Participate in continuous risk assessment by monitoring changes in process, technology systems, or audit evidence and raising observations to the team. • Build foundational knowledge of Allstate's business processes, technology environment, and control structure through audit work, team feedback, and agile learning routines. • Contribute to identifying opportunities to automate or enhance audit procedures using data analytics and other technology solutions, demonstrating an innovative mindset toward improving audit effectiveness.

• Contribute toward and drive the product strategy for our Data Ingestion product portfolio. • Use stakeholder, partner, and customer feedback and data gathering & analysis techniques to make decisions about product strategy. • Define and manage key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure the success of your products and inform ongoing product strategy. • Know your customer; invest significant time speaking with your current and potential customers to understand their needs & habits. • Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and product direction. • Decompose complex problems with your scrum team, then split identified solutions into smaller, manageable tasks by creating and prioritizing a backlog & roadmap. • Manage the product backlog, create an effective vision and provide clear & timely stakeholder feedback on development iterations. • Ensure the successful execution of development standards to ensure tight feedback loops and clear product definition. • Collaborate and coach members of the product team as well as across the development organization on conducting idea generation, consumer research, test design and execution, measurement, and product implementation and release.

• Design, configure, and implement SAP FS-CD solutions to support enterprise billing, collections, and accounts receivable processes. • Lead solution design and configuration for key FS-CD capabilities including: Contract Accounts Business Partners Insurance Objects Payment Processing Clearing and Allocation Rules Dunning and Collections Account Determination Refunds and Write-Offs Billing and Invoicing Processes. • Collaborate with business and technical teams to define end-to-end solutions supporting policy administration, billing, payments, and financial reporting. • Support integration design between SAP FS-CD and upstream/downstream applications using APIs and event-driven architectures. • Participate in requirements gathering, solution workshops, fit-gap analysis, design reviews, and testing activities. • Develop functional specifications and support technical teams with development, integration, and troubleshooting activities. • Partner with architecture and platform teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise integration, security, and performance standards. • Support Agile delivery teams through backlog refinement, sprint planning, solution reviews, and production readiness activities.

• Investigate and analyze moderately complex auto claims referred to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) for potential fraud • Conduct site inspections, background research, and interviews • Evaluate findings to determine if fraud can be substantiated and support potential legal action

• Work in the field to assess vehicle damage and conduct on-site inspections • Accurately document losses and write repair estimates • Communicate clearly with customers and partners • Manage the full estimating process, including supplements and negotiations with repair facilities and other vendors
