Role Description This role offers the opportunity to lead the architecture and integration of complex, large-scale systems across multiple platforms and operational workflows. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable, cloud-native integrations that support provisioning, billing, telemetry, and internal business processes. - Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Data, and Finance teams to ensure seamless connectivity across backend services, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing components. - Influence the design of microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems while mentoring engineers and guiding integration best practices. - Allow for high autonomy, significant impact, and exposure to modern cloud and integration technologies, with a strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and security. Accountabilities: - Define, lead, and execute integration and software architecture connecting operational systems and multiple product platforms. - Architect, implement, and maintain integrations supporting provisioning, billing, and telemetry pipelines using AWS, microservices, and integration platforms. - Collaborate with Data and Analytics teams to align integration designs with data governance and downstream consumption needs. - Design cloud-native architectures with scalable communication patterns, clear service boundaries, and fault tolerance. - Contribute to backend and front-end integration components, ensuring reliable APIs and seamless system interactions. - Lead hands-on development of critical integration systems, primarily in Python, while supporting other object-oriented languages where needed. - Guide development teams through Jira epics, stories, and tasks; provide mentorship and architectural direction. - Establish and enforce architecture standards, governance, observability, and best practices across systems. - Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical architecture with business goals, security requirements, and long-term scalability. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in software and integration architecture, with ownership of large-scale, distributed systems. - Strong AWS architecture and development experience, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, ECS/EKS, and event-driven services. - Proficiency in Python; experience with other object-oriented languages (e.g., Java, C#) is a plus. - Solid understanding of front-end integration with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Deep knowledge of microservices architecture, API design, messaging patterns, resiliency, and scalability. - Experience with enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft within a broader architectural context. - Proven ability to design secure, scalable APIs and integration patterns (REST, event-driven, batch). - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks and decomposing architectures into actionable Jira tasks. - Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You’ll partner with the Account Management team, helping to articulate Procore’s overall value proposition.
