UI Engineering Manager

Role Description We are seeking an experienced and dynamic UI Engineering Manager to lead and inspire our talented team of user interface engineers. To be successful, you must be self-motivated and driven to go above and beyond. This role requires deep technical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and strong business acumen. - Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to a team of UI engineers, fostering growth and professional development within the UI skill community. - Champion the vision and execution of the Dragos Platform User Interface. - Collaborate closely with Tech Leads and Product Managers to define and deliver an optimal user experience across several different product teams. - Foster a strong technical community by developing close relationships amongst Engineering Managers. - Establish and drive engineering best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization strategies. - Provide technical input/insight during software design, development, testing, and release. - Ensure timely delivery of projects, maintaining high-quality standards, and balancing technical debt and innovation. - Ensure support for fielded production deployments. - Stay updated on emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications - 7+ years of meaningful engineering management experience building, developing, and leading highly effective teams. - Cybersecurity experience. - Prior experience as a UI engineer with strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and JavaScript libraries like React and Redux. - Prior experience using Figma. - Familiar with building and supporting a design system that is used at scale. - Management experience with Agile and working in Product Teams. - Comfortability engaging hands-on in development or triage/troubleshooting. - Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills. - Detail oriented, takes initiative, and dedication to quality. - Experience in cybersecurity. - Working knowledge of cybersecurity threat detections, threat intelligence, or ICS/OT security is a plus.
