Commercial Collateral Analyst I/II

Role Description This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States: NY, NJ, MA, VA, IL, AZ, FL, CA, GA, TX, NC, SC. The Commercial Collateral Analyst I/II provides support in reviewing collateral submitted by commercial customers. Serves as the point person for borrowers and reviews, analyzes, and reconciles documentation to verify the collateral value and potential to repay a loan. May also recommend and implement process improvements. Guarantees the documentation complies with and meets the loan's financial requirements. - Business Support: Provides analytical insight and technical skill to lending activities, maintaining strong industry, risk, and policy knowledge to serve as a resource to associates. Recommends process improvements and assists in other duties as needed to facilitate department processes. - Documentation: Obtains and monitors financial documentation utilized in review efforts. Guarantees accuracy, completeness, and consistency of documentation. - Reporting: Prepares high-level complex reports and journal entries that project the Bank's financial position. Identifies and explains variances on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Develops additional reporting requirements. - Analysis: Sources, compiles, and interprets financial data or statements. Identifies factors that impact credit on both a quantitative and qualitative basis in order to inform credit relationships. Analyzes data for accuracy and efficiencies, effectively communicates analysis output. Qualifications - Required: - Collateral Analyst I: Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience in Credit Review, Analysis or Financial Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in Credit Review, Analysis or Financial Reporting - Collateral Analyst II: Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in Credit Review, Analysis or Financial Reporting OR High School Diploma or GED and 7 years of experience in Credit Review, Analysis or Financial Reporting - Preferred: - Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Operations, Economics - 1 year of Commercial Banking and/or Finance - Collateral review and documentation - Excel experience - Reporting experience - Loan systems and applications experience Requirements - Collateral Analyst I: The base pay for this position is generally between $51,450.00 and $80,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment. - Collateral Analyst II: The base pay for this position is generally between $63,450.00 and $90,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
