Role Description The Senior Creative Designer is a senior-level, hands-on designer responsible for creating innovative retail environments, fixtures, displays, and branded experiences for many of Outform's Consumer Electronics clients across the West Coast. This role combines industrial design, retail design, experience design, visualization, and strategic thinking to create compelling physical retail solutions that achieve both shopper and commercial objectives. - Transform business objectives, shopper insights, retailer requirements, and emerging technologies into manufacturable retail experiences. - Mentor junior designers and provide design guidance across cross-functional project teams. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or a closely related discipline strongly preferred. - 7+ years designing retail fixtures, displays, branded environments, experiential activations, or physical retail experiences. - Outstanding portfolio demonstrating sophisticated retail design, industrial design thinking, experience design, and client-facing presentations. - Advanced proficiency using industry-standard 3D CAD, visualization, and rendering tools. - Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. - Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills. - Experience supporting RFPs, workshops, concept development, and business pitches. Requirements - Lead the creative development of retail displays, fixtures, branded environments, and shopper experiences from concept through production. - Serve as a trusted client-facing design partner for many of Outform's Consumer Electronics clients. - Develop innovative concepts supported by thoughtful design rationale and commercial awareness. - Balance creativity with manufacturability, cost, durability, timeline, and production requirements. - Collaborate closely with Strategy, Sales, Engineering, Production, and Program Management. - Stay current with retail trends, consumer electronics, shopper behavior, and emerging retail technologies. - Travel as required for client meetings, workshops, store visits, prototype reviews, trade shows, and industry events. Qualifications - Experience in all phases of the project cycle is required. - Architectural design software skills including Revit, AutoCAD and other architectural design software. - Familiarity with MEP and Structural building systems and building codes is required. - Have successfully completed related post-secondary education. - Registered with a relevant professional architectural association is an asset. - 0-5 years of project work experience. - Experience in Industrial projects is an asset.
