Role Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Payable Specialist performs a variety of accounting functions to process Accounts Payable and expense reports for the NORR and NORR A&E Limited including: - Coding to GL - Reviewing expense reports - Preparing ACH payments - Posting cash receipts The incumbent responds to inquiries from vendors regarding payment status, updates vendor information to the accounting system, and coordinates with internal and external parties on accounts payable issues and processes. As a Principal, you will have overall responsibility for the growth, management, and profitability of the sector. Role Description NORR is seeking a Designer, Sustainability to support our growing global Sustainability Team. This position will report directly to the Director of Sustainability, and it will support the execution of sustainable design services, programmes, ordinance/legislative compliance (federal, municipal, and/or state/provincial/council levels), and compliance with third-party certifications programmes, across multiple locations and market sectors. Additionally, this role will monitor updates to the above programmes, and emerging legislation, to inform potential implications to ongoing sustainability goals and objectives, over time and as they continue to evolve. - Documents and coordinates compliance with leading certifications programmes, such as LEED, Green Globes, Fitwel, WELL, Passivhaus, etc. - Creates and ensures documented compliance with bespoke sustainability services and/or programmes, specific to individual clients needs/in alignment to their own standards, ESG, etc. - Ensures compliance with various federal, state/province/council, and/or local municipal ordinances requiring sustainability and/or resiliency measures and documents the same. - Administers “specialty services”, including charettes, daylight modeling, LCA modeling, LCCA modeling, and the creation of green building standards. - Coordinates and documents compliance with client requirements/opportunities for resiliency, climate risk, and climate change mitigation strategies. - Provides internal QA/QC, focused on incorporation of sustainability measures into projects and specifications to support both the client and NORR's goals. - Assists in the pursuit and tracking of NORR's AIA 2030 and SE 2050 Commitments. - Supports internal sustainability initiatives tied to NORR’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) programmes. - Builds relationships with key internal stakeholders across all sectors, provides interdisciplinary subject matter expertise and promotes environmental awareness. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in architecture, engineering, or a related field. - Demonstrable understanding of leading certifications programmes (LEED, Green Globes, Fitwel, WELL, Passivhaus, etc.) and a willingness to earn/maintain credentials. - Knowledge of federal, state/provincial, and/or municipal ordinance in our locations is an asset. - Knowledge of various project delivery models at all stages. - Be a self-starter, capable of working independently on multiple projects. - Proficiency in Revit, One Click LCA, Cove.tool and MS Office. - Excellent verbal, written and graphic skills. Requirements - 5-7 years working experience in architecture, engineering, or a related field. - Demonstrable experience in multiple “specialty services”, listed above. - Designations in LEED, Green Globes, Fitwel, WELL, Passivhaus is an asset.
