Yadimen is looking to hire a Network Engineer for a UK financial services client (building-society sector). - Location / model: Remote-first — Nearshore EU (Poland preferred) or Offshore India - Engagement: Contract (B2B / inside umbrella) or FTE - Rate (nearshore EU): €225 / day You'll join the network infrastructure and operations team of a large, regulated UK financial services organisation. You'll provide day-to-day support of incidents and change requests, and own the installation, configuration and support of production, non-production and disaster-recovery network infrastructure. You'll work across the full lifecycle — design, documentation, build, live transition and support — and apply modern engineering practice: Software-Defined Networking (SDN), automation and orchestration, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and advanced observability, to deliver resilient, secure and scalable services. Role Description The NOC Network Engineer is a hands-on operations role responsible for 24×7 monitoring, incident response, and operational stability of enterprise and cloud networking platforms. This role acts as a network escalation authority within the NOC, ensuring rapid detection, diagnosis, and resolution of network and connectivity-related incidents across AWS, Azure, hybrid, and on-prem environments. The engineer works within a disciplined ITIL-based NOC to meet SLAs and reduce MTTR. This role requires experience working within a global enterprise environment, supporting business-critical platforms across multiple regions and time zones. The engineer must collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams and vendors, ensuring consistent service delivery and clear communication during incidents. Qualifications - 5–8 years of experience in Network Operations, especially in NOC or Infrastructure Operations roles. - 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud networking (AWS and/or Azure). - Proven experience handling P1/P2 incidents in 24×7 production environments. - Experience supporting global customers or platforms in a follow-the-sun, multi-time-zone operating model. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues beyond monitoring, including root cause identification and remediation. Requirements - TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP fundamentals - BGP / OSPF routing knowledge - AWS VPC & Azure VNet networking - Load balancers, VPN, firewalls - Hybrid cloud connectivity troubleshooting - Monitoring: CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk - Major Incident Management participation Key Responsibilities - Proactively monitor enterprise and cloud networks using tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, Grafana, SolarWinds. - Perform deep troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network incidents, including routing anomalies, intermittent connectivity, packet loss, DNS failures, VPN tunnel instability, firewall and load balancer misconfigurations. - Own end-to-end incident resolution within the NOC, driving investigation, remediation, and validation until full service restoration. - Act as L2/L3 escalation point for complex network issues within the NOC. - Participate in Major Incident Management (MIM) bridges and support recovery actions. - Operate AWS and Azure networking including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing tables, Transit Gateway/VWAN, load balancers, VPNs, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect. - Troubleshoot hybrid connectivity between cloud, on-prem, and third-party providers. - Operate and troubleshoot firewalls, WAF, NSGs/Security Groups, and VPNs. - Execute pre-approved network changes following SOPs and change management processes. - Maintain accurate incident records and documentation in ServiceNow. - Improve runbooks, alert hygiene, dashboards, and automation. - Provide clear shift handovers for follow-the-sun operations. • Serve as a subject matter expert for NVIDIA Networking technologies, including Ethernet and InfiniBand-based data center and AI fabric solutions • Possess a strong understanding of NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet switching, InfiniBand, Cumulus Linux, SONiC-related ecosystems, and modern data center networking architectures • Participate in the design and deployment of complex solutions, create written deliverables, and conduct client workshops • Communicate architecture strategy, implementation approach, and operational considerations in clear, concise, and understandable terms to client senior management and other stakeholders • Implement design architecture objectives that align with client business goals, application requirements, and operational needs • Provide technical leadership for data center modernization, AI infrastructure networking, and high-performance network design initiatives • Demonstrate strong knowledge of underlay and overlay networking, segmentation, routing, automation, and interoperability across multivendor environments • Perform assessments, migrations, implementation services, validation testing, and operational readiness activities for client environments • Troubleshoot complex networking issues and optimize performance, resiliency, and scalability across production and pre-production environments • Ensure knowledge transfer to relevant client teams for smooth operation of deployed solutions • Work effectively across all levels of an organization, both internally and externally • Work both independently and in a collaborative team environment • Demonstrate the ability to deliver multiple client engagements on time and within scope • Obtain and maintain certifications with associated qualifications

• Design, implement, and operate networking infrastructure across both private datacenters and public cloud environments (primarily Azure), including routing, firewalling, WAN connectivity, and overlay networking. • Provide network and remote connectivity hardware/software support for internal and external customers. • Design, manage, and troubleshoot highly available ISP circuits, multi-homed BGP architectures, datacenter interconnect (DCI), and SD-WAN connectivity across multiple regions. • Perform root cause investigations and contribute to process/procedure documentation. • Maintain and expand NGFW rule base to ensure least access principals across public and private firewall zones. • Project work including: Structured cabling, Physical infrastructure lifecycle replacements, Network and application security, Monitoring, alerting, and auto remediation. • Deploy public cloud (primarily Azure) and private cloud networks utilizing infrastructure as code utilizing git-ops tooling. • Collaborate with Security teams to maintain security of data and access privileges. • Develop, improve, and maintain network and system monitoring solutions. • Work cross-functionally within the operations and engineering organization. • Participate in an on-call rotation. • Participate in scheduled monthly maintenance windows (second Sunday of each month) as part of a team rotation, typically supporting 3–4 maintenance windows per year.
