Principal Technical Consultant – Data Center Network

• Serve as a subject matter expert for NVIDIA Networking technologies, including Ethernet and InfiniBand-based data center and AI fabric solutions • Possess a strong understanding of NVIDIA Spectrum Ethernet switching, InfiniBand, Cumulus Linux, SONiC-related ecosystems, and modern data center networking architectures • Participate in the design and deployment of complex solutions, create written deliverables, and conduct client workshops • Communicate architecture strategy, implementation approach, and operational considerations in clear, concise, and understandable terms to client senior management and other stakeholders • Implement design architecture objectives that align with client business goals, application requirements, and operational needs • Provide technical leadership for data center modernization, AI infrastructure networking, and high-performance network design initiatives • Demonstrate strong knowledge of underlay and overlay networking, segmentation, routing, automation, and interoperability across multivendor environments • Perform assessments, migrations, implementation services, validation testing, and operational readiness activities for client environments • Troubleshoot complex networking issues and optimize performance, resiliency, and scalability across production and pre-production environments • Ensure knowledge transfer to relevant client teams for smooth operation of deployed solutions • Work effectively across all levels of an organization, both internally and externally • Work both independently and in a collaborative team environment • Demonstrate the ability to deliver multiple client engagements on time and within scope • Obtain and maintain certifications with associated qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of data center networking experience in enterprise, service provider, cloud, or high-performance computing environments
  • Deep hands-on technical knowledge and expertise in NVIDIA Networking solutions, including Spectrum Ethernet and InfiniBand deployments
  • Experience designing and implementing networking for AI, GPU, HPC, or large-scale east-west traffic environments
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 data center networking, including EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, MLAG, and spine-leaf architectures
  • Experience with Cumulus Linux, network automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Familiarity with telemetry, observability, and operational tooling for performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of lossless Ethernet concepts, RoCE, congestion management, and low-latency network design principles
  • Experience integrating networking solutions with compute, storage, virtualization, and security architectures
  • Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving ability, urgency, and proactive approach to resolving technical challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Passion for successful customer outcomes and delivering high-quality consulting services.

Role Description Garud is seeking a Network Engineer with Network Operations Center / Security Operations Center (NOC/SOC) skills and understanding to support a federal program management office (PMO) charged with planning, acquiring, and managing the deployment and operation of technology and capabilities to keep our borders safe. Qualifications - SENIOR LEVEL: 10+ years of relevant experience and a STEM BS degree or 5 years relevant experience and a MS degree in systems engineering or 13+ years of experience in lieu of a degree. - Experience in providing full life cycle systems engineering support to large, complex programs. - Familiar with DHS or DoD Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (ALF). - Familiar with DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) framework. - Experienced in requirements analysis. - Experience in developing engineering plans, trade studies, CONOPS documents, and decision papers. - Knowledge of a broad spectrum of technical fields and engineering disciplines. - Strong critical thinking skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and leadership skills. - Self-motivated, proactive, independent performer who can perform well in a collaborative, team environment. - Individuals with good technology, network and security understanding and the soft skills to work with others to get technical things done correctly.
