Role Description The General Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations that support accurate financial reporting and an efficient month-end close. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role helps maintain the integrity of the financial records while contributing across the full accounting cycle. It is a broad generalist role with exposure to a wide range of accounting activities, offering a strong foundation for growth within a high-performing finance team. Role Description We are hiring a Senior Accountant who will be a member of the Finance team and will be hands-on in the company's month-end activities and daily accounting operations. This role will be critical in the day-to-day general ledger related activities with a focus on compensation and payroll accounting, benefits, employee related costs, accruals, allocations and month-end related close process. What You'll Be Doing - Own end-to-end accounting for compensation related costs, including preparation of recurring payroll journal entries, benefits accruals, stock compensation, and other employee related entries. - Execute monthly accounting close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations; investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely basis. - Perform monthly open PO accruals, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of expenses; partner with business owners as needed. - Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and account flux analysis specific to your areas. - Review and approve Staff Accountant’s work papers, account reconciliations and journal entries. - Collaborate closely with payroll and benefits teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of data used for accounting entries. - Partner with international third party accountants to reconcile corporate books (US GAAP) to local statutory books, including preparing adjusting entries as needed. - Assist and ensure accounting systems scaling and ensuring all systems are being used to their full functionality. - Support SEC team with preparation of schedules along with other analysis as needed. - Assist management on audit request and responses to inquiries from internal and external auditors. - Work on ad-hoc projects on an as needed basis.
