Job Description

Credit Relationship Manager – TC Portfolio Management & Monitoring

Mashreq

• Assist in the financial analysis, credit risk assessment, risk rating and structuring of facilities for assigned corporate relationships, by working with the Relationship Managers (RMs / SRMs), meeting the customers, preparing Credit Proposals (CPs) (new, annual renewals and amendments etc.) and liaising with Credit Risk Management (CRM) and the Compliance Unit to resolve all queries related to risk and compliance issues, respectively. • Review with the CIBG Relationship Teams/WRM, deals, facility structures, credit products / services, and provide business solutions which meet business and customer requirements within credit and operational risk guidelines and policies. • Quick and timely turnaround of CPs while maintaining quality of analysis. • Ensure terms laid out in the proposal are in line with client expectations to avoid significant deviations in the approved terms. Exposures to be monitored along with RAROC and overall profitability • Monitoring mechanisms laid out in Lending Guideline and Credit Policy to be followed up with Credit Control Unit for strict adherence • Ensure review of all Early Alert instances and promptly bring to the attention of Direct Supervisor. • During RM’s absence (leave / training/secondment etc.), step into the role of the RM, and provide the required guidance to the team.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 6-9 years of experience of credit / financial analysis at similar level in banking and / or related field.
  • Degree in business / economics. A post graduate diploma / Chartered Accountancy or a similar qualification will be considered as an asset.
  • Local market knowledge and sufficient knowledge of the bank’s products and operating systems.
  • Excellent command over verbal and written English. Arabic language skill will be an added advantage.
  • Conversant with banking laws and local regulations.
  • Good inter-personal skills. Should be a team player and participation experience in variety of banking initiatives and solutions.

  • Responsibility to monitor and report portfolio quality, size, mix and ensure adherence to risk / return guidelines.
  • Monitor, report and recommend actions if risk profiles of a relationship or a specific deal changes.
  • To comment on the account conduct/ behavior of client.
  • Provide financial solutions to customer requirements
