Deals Associate
VC Lab
• Support a portfolio of emerging venture capital firms • Help fund managers with deal review and best practices as they deploy capital across the full arc of the process — sourcing, filtering, diligence, execution, and portfolio follow-up • Help review and strengthen deal memos and provide feedback and diligence guidance • Support programs that share strong opportunities across the platform • Maintain a scouting network that surfaces deals matched to each fund's thesis
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years of professional experience in VC, startups, operations, consulting, or any role where you considered complicated investment opportunities and communicated with external stakeholders
- A genuine understanding of the startup and venture investing ecosystem — how deals originate and how founders, funds, and LPs actually operate
- Comfort with CRM tools and data management (specific platform experience not required — you'll learn Decile Hub quickly)
- Fluency with modern AI frameworks and tools, and a habit of using them to optimize and scale your own workflow
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
- You move fast, follow up relentlessly, and take pride in closing loops
- Nice to Have
- Venture Institute or VC Lab Residency alumni
- Experience as a founder or operator who has built and raised for a company, and lived the deal process from the other side of the table
- Prior exposure to venture capital, fundraising, or investor relations

• Process stock plan transactions including plan setup, participant account reviews, reconciliations, and issue resolution • Support equity transactions related to RSU vestings, ESPP events, option exercises, and 10b5-1 instructions • Initiate and monitor DWAC and DTC transfers while coordinating with clearing firms to ensure accurate settlement • Reconcile trade executions, allocations, and participant accounts across multiple platforms • Research and resolve operational, trading, and account-related exceptions • Partner with internal stakeholders to support stock plan trading activities and operational readiness • Support audits, compliance requests, process improvements, and daily service activities to deliver an exceptional client experience
• Educating identified members about programs available to them to promote wellness • Scheduling appointments with our nurses and coaches or scheduling them in a group coaching event • Educating members on their company sponsored incentives and reviewing progress towards meeting their incentives. • Assisting members with portal questions (password resets, registering, navigation, filling out health assessments) and promoting the mobile app • Providing a positive member experience reflective of the CVS values. • Connecting with the members through inbound and outbound phone calls
• Support the delivery of all required start-up contracting activities for selected sponsors, studies or multi-protocol programs as determined by either the agreed algorithm or the Sponsor’s requirements, including pre-award activities. • Develop simple investigator grant estimates and proposal text to support the proposal development process. • Utilize and maintain contract and budget templates and contracting systems, tools, processes, and training materials for selected sponsors, studies or multi-protocol programs according to the Scope of Work and Project Plan, within the agreed project strategy. • Ensure collaboration, including communication with sponsors, stakeholders, and RSU regions and countries, to successfully deliver the agreed project scope in compliance with sponsor requirements and/or the RSU Management Plan. • Provide specialist operational and financial contracting support to facilitate efficient business development and initiation and maintenance of clinical trials, whilst enabling compliance with regulatory requirements. • Assist in the creation and/or review of core scientific, technical, and administrative documentation to support business development and enable study initiation and maintenance, as required. • Contribute to the collection, interpretation, analysis, and dissemination of accurate contracting intelligence to support assigned studies and the wider company, as required. • Ensure overall contracting efficiency and adherence to project timelines and financial goals; report contracting performance metrics and out of scope contracting activities as required. • Comply with contract management and quality standards. • Provide administrative and operational support to investigator site contract analysts, managers, and directors as required. • Ensure accurate completion and maintenance of internal systems (with emphasis on CTMS), databases, tracking tools, timelines and project plans.
