Investor Reporting Associate
Valon
• Report loan activity records accurately and on time to Investors. • Perform monthly reconciliations in accordance with investor requirements. • Maintain remittance schedules and ensure the timely delivery of funds. • Apply amortization schedules to loan data for proper reporting. • Collaborate with internal departments and understand the impact of servicing events on reporting. • Utilize internally developed systems and tools in order to perform root cause analysis • Use Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and basic formulas) and Google Workspace tools to manage reporting data. • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- 1 year of Investor Reporting experience within mortgage servicing.
- Proven experience working with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and private investors.
- Strong understanding of remittance types and loan amortization.
- General understanding of mortgage servicing operations and department functions.
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, sum functions) and basic use of Gmail and Google Workspace.
- Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Finance or Accounting or STEM) -or- 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role preferred
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be available to collaborate and communicate in regularly held in-person meetings
