• Own complex features end-to-end. Take a problem from spec to production — architecture decisions, implementation, testing, and deployment. You're accountable for what you ship. • Build reliable, scalable Rails systems. Work across the full Rails stack: models, services, background jobs, APIs, and the front end. Write code that your teammates can read, extend, and trust. • Collaborate closely with product and design. Ask the right questions before writing a line of code. Push back when a spec doesn't make sense. Help the team make better decisions with your technical perspective. • Use AI to write better code, faster. Leverage AI tools throughout your workflow — code generation, debugging, refactoring, documentation. Model what AI-first engineering looks like at Decile Group. • Improve the systems around you. Identify technical debt that matters, propose solutions, and follow through. Leave the codebase better than you found it. • Mentor and elevate teammates. Code review with care. Share knowledge generously. Raise the level of the people around you.
• Own the product experience, end to end. You are accountable for how Decile Hub looks, feels, and works — from the first login of a new fund manager to the most complex fund administration workflow. Every interaction is your responsibility. • Set and drive the roadmap. Translate user needs, operational realities, and Decile Group's business priorities into a clear, sequenced roadmap. Make the hard calls on what gets built and what doesn't. Maintain alignment across Decile Group's engineering, operations, and leadership teams. • Write specs that engineers love. Crisp, specific, with edge cases handled and acceptance criteria defined. You remove ambiguity before it becomes a bug. You respect engineering time. • Use AI to move faster and think sharper. Leverage AI in discovery, synthesis, spec writing, competitive research, and anywhere else it makes you better. Be a model for AI-first product thinking across Decile Group. • Stay close to customers. Run user interviews. Shadow onboarding calls. Read every support ticket. Synthesize what you learn into clear problem definitions and close the loop after features ship to make sure they actually worked. • Raise the bar on design and UX. Be the person at Decile Group who is never satisfied with "good enough." Push for clarity, simplicity, and delight in every flow — especially in the dense, complex workflows that define fund administration. • Lead cross-functional execution. Bring structure to product workflows across Decile Group. Rally engineering, ops, legal ops, and customer success around shared priorities. Keep launches on track and documentation tight.
• Own a product surface from discovery to launch. Define the problem, write the spec, drive alignment, oversee delivery, and follow up after launch to make sure it worked. You're accountable for outcomes, not just outputs. • Write specs that engineers love. Functional requirements, edge cases, acceptance criteria, and open questions — all resolved before a ticket hits the sprint. You respect engineering time by doing your homework. • Stay close to Decile Group customers. Shadow calls, run user interviews, read support tickets, and synthesize what you learn into clear, actionable insights. Be the voice of the customer without losing sight of business priorities. • Use AI to be a better PM. Leverage AI for discovery synthesis, competitive research, spec drafting, user segmentation, and anywhere else it sharpens your thinking or speeds up your work. • Maintain a clear, prioritized roadmap. Work with stakeholders across Decile Group to sequence what gets built and why. Communicate timelines, risks, and tradeoffs proactively. • Partner across Decile Group teams. Work closely with engineering, ops, legal ops, and customer success. Bring clarity and structure to cross-functional workflows and keep everyone aligned.
• Build polished, performant front-end experiences. Own the UI layer of Decile Hub features — from layout and interaction design to responsive behavior and accessibility. Care about every pixel. • Work within a Rails codebase. Use Hotwire, Turbo, and Stimulus alongside ERB templates. Understand the Rails request cycle well enough to work efficiently across the stack. • Translate designs into real interfaces. Work closely with product and design to implement flows that are not just functional but feel great to use. Raise issues when a design won't hold up in practice. • Use AI to move faster. Use AI coding tools actively throughout your workflow — UI generation, debugging, refactoring, writing tests. Help Decile Group stay ahead. • Improve UI consistency and quality across the product. Identify patterns that can be systematized, components that can be reused, and rough edges that should be smoothed. Contribute to a shared design system.
• Collaborate with the Decile Group tech team on developing and maintaining their platforms • Complete a Rails coding challenge as part of the interview process • Own a project and work directly with people who will use your tools • Develop functional and beautiful products
