• Partner with the sales team to understand customer's technical requirements and deliver tailored, code-level product demonstrations • Design and execute custom API integrations and proof-of-concept environments based on each client's specific tech stack and use cases • Respond to technical queries throughout the sales process — covering API architecture, authentication, webhooks, and data flows — acting as the bridge between customers, sales, and engineering • Build and maintain sandbox environments, sample code, and Postman collections to accelerate prospect technical evaluation • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to relay field feedback on API design and developer experience and influence product roadmap decisions • Lead and contribute to RFP/RFI responses and all technical documentation — architecture diagrams, integration guides, and security questionnaires — required during the sales cycle • Troubleshoot integration issues in real time during technical evaluations, diagnosing errors across API calls, webhooks, and payment flows • Build credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike by communicating complex payment orchestration concepts with clarity • Identify patterns across prospects' technical objections to surface insights that improve how we sell and how we build.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced English & Spanish
  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar technical role within payments or fintech
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and API testing tools (Postman, cURL)
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or similar) to build sample integrations and debug code
  • Understanding of payment industry protocols and security standards (PCI DSS, tokenization, 3DS, encryption)
  • Familiarity with SQL and reading logs/traces to troubleshoot integration issues
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
  • Track record of delivering successful technical product demonstrations and presentations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — you know how to read a room
