Role Description The Public Record Associate is responsible for conducting detailed research and verification of public records using US court websites and official databases. The role requires expertise in reviewing court dockets, accurately interpreting charge levels, and understanding case dispositions to ensure high-quality background screening reports. Key Responsibilities - Conduct research on local, state, and federal US court portals to retrieve case records. - Review and analyze court dockets to extract relevant legal information. - Accurately interpret and classify: - Charge levels (felony, misdemeanor, infraction) - Case types (criminal / civil) - Case statuses and dispositions (convicted, dismissed, acquitted, pending, etc.) - Perform accurate and timely data entry into internal systems. - Ensure adherence to quality standards, SLAs, and turnaround times (TAT). - Maintain strict compliance with background verification guidelines and legal regulations. - Handle sensitive data with a high degree of confidentiality and integrity. - Identify discrepancies and escalate complex or ambiguous cases.
