Roles & Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our organization’s financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and accounting software, with expertise in GAAP. This role reports to the Senior Manager - Controller. The following essential job functions are performed as Accounting Manager: - Manage and oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts receivable, payroll and bank reconciliations in a manner that facilitates achievement of the department goals and objectives. - Oversee the fixed asset subledger, depreciation, and reconciliation to the general ledger. - Review and analyze financial statements to support strategic decision-making. - Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation and record subsidiary transactions. - Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on complex transactions such as debits & credits, accrual accounting, and double entry bookkeeping. - Oversee and backup payroll management in UKG, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing. - Oversee the implementation and management of various accounting software systems such as SAP, S4 Hana and other financial tools. - Conduct detailed financial analysis including cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting to support organizational goals. - Monitor debt balances to ensure payments are processed timely - Ensure internal controls are effective in safeguarding assets and maintaining compliance with company policies related to financial accuracy and separation of duties. - Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation for accurate auditing processes. Qualifications Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3) Education/Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. - Extensive experience in private, public, and/or corporate accounting. - Proven expertise in managing complex financial concepts including financial statement preparation, regulatory reporting, and detailed understanding of GAAP standards. - Strong familiarity with accounting software such as SAP, S4 Hana, and other relevant financial tools; proficiency in using various financial software is essential. - Demonstrated ability to mentor team members effectively while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines. - Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for strategic insights. - Strong understanding of core concepts such as account reconciliation, journal entries, and detailed financial management principles like budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
