Resmed is seeking a strategic, commercially minded Head of Global Marketing Finance to serve as the primary finance business partner to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This newly created leadership role will establish and lead the global marketing finance function, providing financial leadership, strategic insights, and decision support that enable investment decisions and accelerate business growth. Key Responsibilities - Strategic Finance Partnership - Serve as the trusted finance advisor to the Chief Marketing Officer and the global Marketing leadership team. - Provide strategic financial guidance on marketing investments, resource allocation, and long-term planning. - Translate business strategy into actionable financial plans and performance insights. - Challenge assumptions and provide data-driven recommendations to improve business outcomes. - Financial Planning & Analysis - Lead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes for the global Marketing organization. - Develop robust budgeting and forecasting methodologies that improve planning accuracy and transparency. - Monitor financial performance against plan and communicate risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. - Partner with business leaders to ensure effective financial management across all marketing investments. - Marketing Investment & ROI Management - Design and implement frameworks to measure the financial effectiveness and ROI of marketing investments. - Partner with Marketing, Analytics, and Commercial teams to evaluate campaign performance and investment effectiveness. - Develop reporting and dashboards that enable data-driven investment decisions. - Recommend strategies to optimize marketing spend while supporting growth objectives. - Process & Capability Development - Establish scalable financial processes, governance, and operating rhythms for the global Marketing organization. - Drive continuous improvement across planning, reporting, forecasting, and investment management. - Standardize financial reporting and performance measurement across global marketing functions. - Ensure appropriate financial controls and compliance with corporate policies. - Executive Reporting & Communication - Prepare high-quality executive presentations and financial analyses for the CFO, CMO, Executive Leadership Team, Board materials, and other senior stakeholders. - Clearly communicate complex financial concepts and business insights to executive audiences. - Develop concise, compelling narratives supported by meaningful financial analysis. - Leadership - Build and develop a high-performing global marketing finance capability. - Foster a collaborative, high-accountability culture focused on business partnership and continuous improvement. - Coach and develop finance talent while promoting cross-functional collaboration across Finance and Marketing. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline. - 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant experience in FP&A and business partnering. - Demonstrated experience supporting senior commercial or marketing executives. - Strong financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management expertise. - Experience developing executive presentations for C-suite leadership. - Strong analytical, financial modeling, and business case development skills. - Exceptional communication and influencing abilities, with experience working across global organizations. - Proven ability to simplify complex business issues into actionable recommendations. - Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams. Requirements - MBA and/or CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification. - Experience supporting global marketing organizations within a multinational company. - Knowledge of marketing effectiveness measurement, customer acquisition economics, and ROI frameworks. - Experience with enterprise planning systems and modern BI/reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau). - Experience driving finance transformation or building new finance capabilities.
