Role Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Specialist to efficiently manage the payroll for approximately 2,900 employees. This includes both contract and full-time employees, split bi-weekly, resulting in processing around 1,500 employees each week. You will utilize UKG Pro for payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll taxes, tax laws, and regulations. - Process payroll for approximately 2,900 employees on a bi-weekly schedule, managing both contract and full-time staff. - Utilize UKG Pro software for accurate and efficient payroll processing. - Ensure compliance with payroll taxes, including understanding of tax laws, regulations, and paid family leave. - Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll. - Leverage BI portals for payroll reporting and effectively use these reports. - Participate in ad-hoc tax projects as required. Qualifications - Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing experience. - Proficient in using UKG Pro for workforce management. - Strong understanding of payroll taxes and compliance requirements. This role partners closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate and timely weekly and biweekly payroll processing, prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll reporting, and maintenance of payroll records and systems. The Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in supporting union and non-union payroll administration, Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage compliance, certified payroll reporting, and related documentation requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong attention to detail with a customer-service mindset, the ability to interpret payroll and labor compliance requirements, and a willingness to learn new systems and processes in a fast-paced environment.
