Role Description The L2 AV Support Engineer will be responsible for providing remote technical support and troubleshooting for high-end meeting room and collaboration systems deployed across the United Kingdom. You will work closely with our customers, field engineers, project teams, and support coordinators to: - Diagnose issues - Restore service quickly - Deliver an excellent customer experience This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with customers, and taking ownership of issues through to resolution. The role will support UK-based customers during agreed service hours, focusing on: - Reliable remote response - Clear handover notes - Effective coordination with UK field engineers when onsite attendance is required The successful candidate will collaborate closely with field engineers, project delivery teams, and customer contacts to keep support activity joined up and well documented. • Develop high quality design for protection schemes for all kinds of T&D substations, Data Centers, Industrial, BESS applications including one-lines, three-lines, and AC / DC schematics in collaboration with drafters • Provide peer review for other members of the design team to develop P&C designs (protection single line diagram, 3 Line Diagrams, panel general arrangement and schematics, wiring diagrams) • Develop optimized designs with a safety mindset • Coordinate P&C design with Electrical layout engineers and designers, Relay Setting Engineers, site managers, commissioning engineers and field personnel • Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers and review technical documentation related to P&C design • Communicate with Project Engineering Manager or Project P&C lead to resolve technical engineering and design aspects • Perform applicable design calculations required for DC battery and charger sizing, voltage drop calculations, aux AC power design • Create and support development of FAT and SAT procedures • Participate in engineering and constructability reviews of P&C deliverables of own project

We are looking for a strong database engineer with deep technical expertise, sharp logical reasoning, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. In this role you will support the infrastructure by learning the platform from end to end. What you get to do in this role: - Become an SME in production database troubleshooting, ServiceNow instance performance, and Linux performance analysis — both on-prem and on Hyperscaler. - Own complex incident root cause analysis across multi-tenant PostgreSQL/MariaDB fleets at scale. - Develop observability tooling and automation to prevent recurrence of critical issues. - Influence infrastructure decisions that shape our multi-tenant cloud platform. - Mentor and collaborate with engineers across operations, support, and development. Qualifications - Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. - 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience in database engineering in large-scale, enterprise environments. - Deep PostgreSQL expertise including MVCC, transaction management, vacuum mechanics, WAL architecture, advanced query performance tuning, buffer management, and backup/restore. - Experience supporting large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS, PaaS, or cloud infrastructure platforms. - Strong Unix/Linux skills — file system navigation, permissions, process management, performance diagnostics. - Deep understanding of RedHat Linux internals with hands-on expertise diagnosing CPU, memory, and I/O issues at the OS level. - Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Strong problem-solving ability, logical thinking, and a genuine curiosity to understand complex systems end to end. Requirements - Experience with ServiceNow platform, scripting, tuning, and troubleshooting is highly preferred. - Scripting proficiency: shell, Python, JavaScript, Ansible. - Experience with schemas, replication, indexing, and query optimization techniques. - Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
