Part-time Faculty, Master of Arts in Sport and Performance Psychology – MATE Supervisor

Workforce and Community Education

• Lead classroom sessions on-site and/or online according to university policies. • Provide expertise in assigned content area by maintaining current knowledge in the field. • Respond to student needs in a timely fashion or typically within 48 hours. • Provide substantive feedback to students, grade assignments, and post grades. • Participate in online class discussion boards. • Emphasize student-centered learning by promoting student inquiries and encouraging participation in their own learning. • Maintain a positive, safe, student-centric learning environment.

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Sport Psychology, Kinesiology, or a Sport Science-related field
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the field of performance enhancement training
  • Possess the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) certification through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology and/or be an approved mentor on the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) registry
  • Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, western North Carolina's forests, watersheds, and wildlife habitats sustained significant ecological damage. In response, NCWRC has established a 10-year time-limited division to lead a comprehensive, multi-year effort focused on ecological stabilization, species recovery, and long-term resilience.
