Network Construction Supervisor

• Supervise a team of Network Construction Managers in support of the assigned area of responsibility for construction demands • Provide support to the Manager of Network Construction for communication and coordination with the NOC, Engineering, Field Operations, and Change Management teams • Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), operational deliverables, and supporting workflows • Maintain knowledge of technologies currently in use and under development • Support management of the assigned area's CAPEX and OPEX budgets • Maintain quality service by understanding, communicating, and enforcing organizational standards • Develop and coach Network Construction Managers, identify training gaps, and support employee career development • Supervise a team that provides network maintenance and restoration support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year • Schedule and prioritize workloads for internal network construction resources and external vendors • Support partnerships with utility companies, municipalities, permitting agencies, and other stakeholders • Management of external vendors necessary to complete projects on time and within budget • Initial construction reviews in accordance with project specifications • Oversight of site construction activities, including schedules, resources, and project execution • Ensuring all jobs are accurately maintained within project tracking systems • Coordination of permitting and licensing activities • Development and review of permit and construction plans • Participation in vendor evaluation and selection processes • Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Zayo construction standards, processes, and procedures
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered
- Three (3) to five (5) years of construction experience required
- At least three (3) years of direct telecommunications experience
- At least two (2) years of supervisory construction experience required; three (3) to five (5) years preferred
- Direct supervision and management of employees
- Fiber engineering design, splicing, and/or construction implementation
- Use of optical testing equipment, including OTDR, PMD, and Optical Spectrum Analyzer tools
- Working knowledge of aerial and underground network construction standards
- Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards

In response, NCWRC has established a 10-year time-limited division to lead a comprehensive, multi-year effort focused on ecological stabilization, species recovery, and long-term resilience.
