Title: Communications Coordinator (Community Research Liaison, Sr) Location: Portland United States Job Description: Function/Duties of Position This position supports the Oregon Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (OADRC), an NIH/NIA-funded Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) and part of the Layton Aging & Alzheimer''s Disease Center. Layton Center investigative teams contribute to national and international efforts to understand aging and research promising treatments for Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for communicating with internal and external stakeholders - sharing information both within OHSU and with the public, facilitating recruitment for research studies and elevating the profile of the Layton center. They will develop and implement communications strategies, including (but not limited to) the creation of promotional materials, building and maintaining web pages and generating written content to support the initiatives of the Layton Center. This work requires the use of independent judgement, problem solving skills, project and time management. Strong interpersonal communication and organization skills are essential. This position also requires the ability to complete complex and detail-oriented duties while working closely with investigators and staff.
