Role Description In this function you will be responsible for the acquisition of service projects in the field of power transmission and distribution. Role Description Hancock Software is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join our Implementation team and serve as a primary technical resource throughout the client lifecycle. In this hands-on role, you will guide customers through preparation, planning, configuration, validation, and deployment of the Hancock Cloud energy efficiency software platform. You will collaborate closely with Technical Support, Product Management, Engineering, and the Executive team to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients across the country. Another key aspect of this role is client and software support; you will provide service-level application support to assist our support team in the diagnosis and debugging of software and configuration-related issues. Experience in energy efficiency retrofits or utility efficiency programs is a plus. Specific Responsibilities - Act as the primary implementation resource during the onboarding and go-live phases of the client lifecycle. - Actively support and diagnose technical issues in conjunction with support and customer success resources. - Clearly define, identify, and document customer business and technical requirements and objectives. - Create user documentation, training materials, and operating procedures. - Participate in project calls with customers, serving as a subject matter expert on company solutions. - Coordinate and track tasks assigned to both internal and external project team members. - Execute project tasks including scripting, data imports, configuration, testing, and knowledge transfer. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications for report development or product enhancements. - Build strong customer relationships to facilitate requirements gathering and solution validation. - Contribute to the development of implementation guidelines and process improvement initiatives. - Work across time zones with nationwide clients and with global team members across the US, India, and China. Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver software implementation projects from pre-sales through final delivery, preferably in this or a related industry. - Demonstrated technical and client support experience, specifically with cloud-hosted and client-installed applications. - 2–5 years of HTML/JavaScript and web development experience, including hands-on implementation or support work at a software company. - Ability to accurately track multiple detail-intensive, interdependent tasks with timely completion. - Self-motivated with a proven ability to work productively in a virtual team environment. - Strong commitment to building successful client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction. - Proficiency in some of the following: MS SQL, Postman, Embarcadero RAD Studio, Delphi, Pascal, RESTful API development, and business intelligence tools, is a plus. - Agentic coding experience, primarily using Claude Code or an equivalent agentic coding platform, is a plus. - General knowledge of database structures and familiarity with data migration tools and processes is a plus. - Familiarity with Azure DevOps or equivalent ticket management systems, is a plus. - Experience in the energy efficiency retrofit or construction industry, especially utility demand-side management, is a plus. - Salesforce API integration experience is a plus. - Azure DevOps pipeline and CI/CD experience are a plus.
