Territory Sales Manager Heavy Equipment Trucking and Auctions
TRANSPORTATION AUCTION CONSULTANTS
Role Description The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for leveraging established relationships in the heavy equipment, trucking, and auction industries to drive sales and generate auction consignments. - Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, fleet owners, equipment dealers, truck dealers, transportation companies, and business owners. - Identify equipment, truck, trailer, and fleet liquidation opportunities. - Generate auction consignments throughout North Carolina and Upper South Carolina. - Conduct face-to-face sales meetings and prospect visits. - Attend industry events, trade shows, association meetings, and networking opportunities. - Work with sellers to evaluate assets and determine auction strategies. - Collaborate with internal marketing and operations teams to maximize auction results. - Consistently build and manage a pipeline of future auction opportunities. - Meet and exceed sales and consignment goals. Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of outside sales, business development, or relationship-based sales experience. - Established network within construction, heavy equipment, agriculture, trucking, transportation, or related industries. - Proven ability to generate business through networking and relationship development. - Strong communication and negotiation skills. - Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely. - Ability to travel throughout North Carolina and Upper South Carolina, with occasional travel to Georgia. Requirements - Auction industry experience (highly preferred). - Heavy equipment sales experience (highly preferred). - Commercial truck sales experience (highly preferred). - Equipment rental industry experience (highly preferred). - Transportation or fleet management experience (highly preferred). - Experience evaluating equipment and asset values (highly preferred). - Existing relationships with contractors, fleet owners, equipment managers, transportation companies, dealerships, lenders, or business owners (highly preferred). Responsibilities - Drive continual product adoption, expansion sales, and subscription renewals of the BILL platform to meet or exceed a monthly quota. - Manage and retain relationships in a mid-market book of 80–110 accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for controllers and CFOs. - Monitor customer health, product utilization, and trends in customer spend, using data to drive proactive outreach, prevent churn, and uncover expansion opportunities. - Conduct virtual and on-site executive business reviews focused on product configuration, best practices, and value realization for finance leaders at mid-market and larger SMB companies. - Deliver engaging training webinars and enablement sessions for end users of the BILL platform. - Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of BILL’s products and services, including new offerings as they launch. - Build a strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Spend and Expense processes and accounting practices to advise customers on optimized workflows. - Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Operations, and other internal partners to resolve complex customer issues and deliver outcomes that support renewal and expansion.
