Creative Technologist
Avi-Spl
The XTG Technologist is a senior, customer-facing technical leader responsible for creative technology consulting, pre-sales visioning, and experiential system design. You will lead the technical narrative for complex projects, ensuring solutions are innovative, achievable, and aligned with both creative intent and business objectives. Own the technical vision for experiential projects Translate abstract ideas and storytelling goals into clear, buildable system designs Balance creativity with real-world constraints such as budget, logistics, schedule, and risk Act as a mentor and guide to engineers and designers supporting XTG projects This role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong communication skills, and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Strong consultative mindset with the ability to bridge creative vision and technical execution
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to clients, creatives, and technical teams
- Comfort operating in early-stage, ambiguous design phases
- Ability to independently identify risks, constraints, and opportunities and guide stakeholders toward informed decisions
- High attention to detail while understanding when conceptual versus finalized documentation is appropriate
- Continuous learner with curiosity about emerging experiential and immersive technologies
- Proven experience designing complex AV and experiential technology systems
- Strong understanding of IP-based AV systems, signal flow, and system architecture
- Familiarity with industry standards (AVIXA, ANSI/TIA) and infrastructure requirements
- Proficiency with design and documentation tools (CAD, diagrams, markups, presentations)
- Ability to develop functional system narratives rather than only traditional construction drawings
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- High school diploma or equivalent
